Tasty but expensive Greek food. When I go there I order Chicken Souvlaki. Make sure to tell them not to overcook it. Other favorites include moussaka and pastitsio. For those of you who may not know what that is, moussaka is made with eggplant and there is a bit of meat sauce in between the layers of eggplant and there is a layer of potato on the bottom and Bechamel sauce on the top. When made properly this dish is fantastic. They make it very well. The moussaka is made with alternating meet and noodle layers. This food is also delicious. It is also topped with bechamel sauce. I’ve been to Venus many times and can say without a doubt it is my fav Greek restaurant in NY. Maybe anywhere?! The menu is extensive and everything is delicious. Great Greek diner in Northport that I've been going to since I was a kid. They got amazing chicken kebab salad and gyro sandwiches. Spinach pie is delicious. Unbelievable chicken orzo soup, and the best coffee I've had at a diner. It can get busy for dinner on certain nights. Great take out option. My parents go there all the time and know the waitresses by name. Everyone is very friendly....
