Floor & Decor — Local services in Town of Islip

This place is scam! We've purchased floors from them 2 years ago, and they had a promotion for 48 months 7.99% interest, if not paid within 24 months then 29.99%. We opened a credit card and made a purchase of 5900$. However on the receipt it said 24 months no interest. We told this to the cashier immediately and she called a manager Pam ID.71835. She tried again and because it was a weekend she said she will take care of it. Well she never did! And she lied to us.

Today, 2 years later Comenity bank just charged us 3312.60$ for the interest. We've never missed a single payment and we've always paid more. At this time our remaining balance was 1800$. And the minimum required payment was around 135$ don't remember exactly. Here's a proof that this financing was not 24 months. 5900/24 (no interest) = 245.8$/month. So why would minimum payment be around 135$, doesn't make sense. And that's the reason we did not complain so far as minimum payment seems right.

This morning I went back to the store and she was there together with another manager. Instead of fixing her mistake, they started blaming me for not complaining earlier. Why would I? We had paperless bills so no statements that would say 24 months. When I told her: I trusted you when you said you will fix it. She said: why would you trust a stranger?!! I told her you are not a stranger, you are a manager of Floor and Decor and representative. And she said maybe she could die or get fired, I shouldn't have trusted her.

Well, my advice is DO NOT TRUST THEM whatever they say and avoid this place really really wide. They will promise stuff and 2 years later you will be writing a review here.

I've called Comenity bank, they contacted Floor and Decor and they told them they don't have a 48 months promotion! It is a lie and here's a proof. Photo from the time of that transaction attached. I filed a new complaint with comenity, sent photo/documents and expecting their answer.

By the way Floor and Decor floors are squeaky even with most expensive under layer barrier they sell. Again.. AVOID!! I will send this information to media and if Comenity doesn't fix this immediately I will take legal actions.

Not to mention that crazy interest rate they charged 29.9% from 5900 is approximately 1760$ not 3312$...

This is a review for F&D as a company, not this particular store. Buyer be ware! Never in my life have I had such a frustrating experience simply trying to cancel an order. Online shoppers should know - the F&D system does not provide a way to cancel an order. For background, I called F&D Customer Service to place an order with a human but was told I could only order online as I needed the double vanity delivered to my home. Fine. I placed the order online late last night. This morning my contractor found a better option so I try online to cancel the order. It is impossible to cancel an order online. I call Customer Service only to be told that she will have to send a request to "leadership" to get their approval to cancel. What?!?! It's up to F&D's leadership to decide if I can cancel?!? I call the local store and a very nice man gives me the number of the store that will be fulfilling the order. That store gives me another number to call, a different Customer Service number. The fellow I spoke to there was clearly annoyed that I needed him to try to cancel the order. Huge, horrible attitude! He again tells me that he will send a request to cancel but it's up to leadership. OMG! Despite all my efforts cancel, 5 phone calls later, it is highly likely that this 72" vanity that I no longer need is going to be delivered to my house. And if that's the case, and I want a refund, I have to somehow get the vanity to a store myself. F&D might have good prices. Not sure it makes up for the impossibility of being able to cancel an order. It surely does not make up for the massive frustration...

Absolutely WORST quality place to buy from. If I could give them 0 stars I would! We are in a new build home and purchased NuCore Luxury Vinyl and had it installed. Within a month the flooring is falling apart and separating. They are creating tripping hazards for me, my husband and our family. We submitted a warranty claim that went absolutely nowhere. Floor & Decor had an expert come (that we had to pay for) just to tell us it was the person that installed the floors that caused the damage. This is absolutely not the case, my husband tested the extra planks and saw that the planks are breaking off with the barest of touches. Floor & Decor is doing absolutely NOTHING about this and refuses to acknowledge our warranty. Whenever we try to pursue this, they claim our case has been closed. Save your money and go literally anywhere else but here!!!

Edit to address Floor & Decor response: the issue is NOT paying for the inspection. The issue is that you gave us defective flooring and are NOT honoring the warranty. As stated above every time we reach out to our claims agent he states that the case is closed and offers no further support. PLEASE assist us in this matter and honor your warranty!!!!

Edit to address their response: Why would we pay AGAIN to have a flooring inspector come and acknowledge that the flooring is DEFECTIVE and to have your claims department completely ignore his report and do NOTHING about it!!! Your customer service is HORRIBLE and it is sickening the amount of money we spent on DAMAGED flooring and Floor & Decor is doing NOTHING...
