The Bistro Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Ok so la Mia’s is gone and I was so nervous about the Bistro, BUT The Bistro has now out done La Mia’s! Our new favorite meal is the CHICKEN FRESCA!!!! Their meatball pizza is amazing and my brother in law who is a chef and extremely picky loves eating pizza at my house! The service is great and Russo the new worker is personalable and funny! So as sad as I was to see lamias go I am super happy for the bistro!!

La Mia’s has fantastic food and outstanding service! My family and I have now had the La Mia’s food for every life event at our house for the past 6 months: As we all know BBP is not short on pizza places or gas stations so it took us a while to try LaMias, and let me just say this, it’s been awesome! We mostly get the eggplant which tastes just like my mother in law used to make! Their garlic knots are perfection! And their salads fresh and delicious! I ordered last minute for Christmas and they graciously took my order way after the proper time frame and came through for me! And stayed open later cause I of course forgot stuff and had to go back! Ordered 2 bags on too good to go three weeks ago and I am so glad I did. All our slices were specialty slices and we even got a grilled chicken sandwich on a giant garlic knot! Everything was fantastic, so much so that I went back the next weekend to try some entrees (chicken francese and chicken rollatini as well as a thanksgiving slice), and again it was delicious! Following weekend did another too good to go and it still was a winner, though out of the 12 slices we had over 3 weekends, there were only two I was not interested in but they were the same slice. Just a square slice with fried calamari, hot peppers and something else I can't remember and I don't like calamari, but it did look good. Boyfriend liked it. Even as I write this review, I am considering getting them again this weekend. There's so many different slice options, I just want to try them all. Bonus points for the entree also being delicious...

This is the second time we have ordered a pie to pick up and I'm just going to say it - this is one of the top 3 (maybe the best) pizzeria's in Suffolk County or Long Island. The regular pie - is absolutely DELICIOUS! Thin crust, like if you hold it up to light, you can see through it. The crisp under-carriage, the cheese sticks to the pizza and you can taste the cheese with the tangy sauce. Crisp to the last bite. Not doughy or floppy. Seasoned to absolute perfection. With most pizza's, I have to usually put pepper on it, or I dip it in Blue Cheese or Frank's just to give it a kick. The Bistro requires ZERO of any other substance. For takeout, it's unbelievable. "One bite, everybody knows the rules..." - good luck eating just one slice. Off the hook good. Well done Bistro. You guys rock!
