Food tastes great, however about 90% of the time, your order WILL BE incorrect. Ask for no cheese in your burrito? They include it. Ask for no sour cream in your burrito? They include it. Ask for no meat in your burrito? THEY WILL INCLUDE IT! How do you put shredded meat pieces in a “vegetable” burrito with instructions indicating “NO CHEESE, NO SOUR CREAM. NO DAIRY. I am vegan.” They follow NO instructions what so ever from the customer. I have given this facility one too many chances to get a simple order right and EACH AND EVERY TIME my order has been incorrect to where I have to throw it out. It’s beyond aggravating, especially since I originally recommended this place to my friends and family. Perhaps they have different cooks or food preparers now, but this place is seriously incompetent. For those reading this, don’t bother ordering from here on DoorDash. You WILL be contacting door dash for a refund after you have waited for your food to arrive only to realize it’s completely INCORRECT. Avocados blew me away with their professionalism, dedication to flavor, and complete fortitude against adversity. On cinco de mayo, I placed an order on the door dash app, but I guess many Long Islanders had the same idea. There was a line of at least 30 people standing outside the restaurant waiting to pickup their order. The complication of a pandemic added complete chaos to the situation. The door dash app crashed and Avocados was taking orders by hand individually from each customer until they served each customer hot, delicious, high quality food. Though we waited for over 2 hours (something completely atypical for Avocados), it was truly WORTH THE WAIT and under these extraordinary circumstances, Avocados showed extraordinary business practices. This place might be the hidden gem in the pizzeria infested town of Bayport. The day I went there I was with a buddy. We were planning to go to McDonalds but we saw avocados on the left is of us and we decided to try it out because we always pass by it. BEST DECISION! Everything on the menu sounded delicious and affordable depending on how much people you bring. Also the value menu. So me and my friend shared two pulled pork empanadas and a beef nacho grande.
