New York Nail Salon inc (ny nails) — Local services in Town of La Grange

I got acrylic french tips for $53, which is a fair price but there were a few things that turned me off about this place. The guy that was doing my nails was rushing through the whole process and cut one of my nails shorter than all the rest. I asked him to make them coffin-shaped after noticing that he had filed them to be square, but I ended up with blocky square nails at the end of it. I came in with a Pinterest inspired picture with a small lipstick design on the ring finger which wasn’t super intricate. Three of the employees attempted to recreate the design to no avail, so I just told them to leave it as regular french tips. I noticed that their workstation and tools were kind of dirty, and that goes for the whole place in general. When I got home I managed to fix the nails myself by filing them down, but I shouldn’t have had to do that after paying them and clearly asking them to make them coffin-shaped. I don’t think I’ll be going back there, the nails ended up nice after I fixed them but if you want good quality for the price, I would suggest that you go to another nail salon. I've been here several times. Service has been okay at best, not great. My friend went today and had the most awful experience. She asked for a design on her nails, nothing crazy (pictures will be added). Instead of telling her it was not a design that they would be able to do, they made her sit there and re-do the design over and over again while she sat in the chair crying. She left, after they made her pay full price, in tears with an atrocious manicure. It looks awful and now has to be re-done somewhere else. It is completely okay if a design or request is too difficult, but to make someone sit there while you butcher it over and over again and then make them full price for shoddy work is...

If I could give no stars I would. Went In for a pedicure and a polish change and was told 20 min wait. THREE HOURS LATER... only pedicure done because more people arrived that was having more expensive things done. Then they tried to take my daughter who had only been there an hour waiting 1st because she was going to get a full set, knowing full well that I had been sitting there for 3 hours. No apology or anything. But all they looked at was the bottom line which was the old mighty dollar. NO THANK YOU. No to mention how dirty it us. Cobwebs and spiders and flies....
