New Ichiban — Restaurant in Town of La Grange

I've ordered dinner from here before but recently grabbed some lunch on my way home. My order was already waiting for me on the table they have set up infront of the restaurants door. A man wearing a mask approached to take my payment and was friendly while exchanging pleasantries. I ordered the chicken teriyaki lunch which turns out is actually called - chicken teriyaki lunch box. It came with some other things I didn't plan on but found to be delicious. Their menu says it's- served with miso soup, green salad, Shumai, 3 piece California roll and white or brown rice.

I would order take out from here again. I really like how thin their teriyaki sauce is. It's not an overly thick, heavy sauce so I can eat from here and not feeling like I'm...

The food is not the problem it’s the best sushi I’ve had around here and usually the service is pretty nice. But the last few times we’ve called it’s not been the best.

Tonight I called (10/2) and I asked to place an order at 9:28pm and they closed at 10pm and they said they had already closed and were not taking orders. Which is unfortunate as I was already on my way because it’s about 40 minutes from me so I figured I’d call as I’m on my way. Which is no one’s fault just sucks I was halfway there when they turned me away.

If you close at 10pm you should probably state on your website you stop taking orders at a certain time. I just don’t think 30min before closing is a feasible time maybe 10 I will even say 15 beforehand but not 30...

Made an online order and wait 30min to go and pick it up only to find the ticket didn’t print. Show my online order and get it ordered in the restaurant and showing that I had ordered it 30min ago. I asked how long it would be and quoted 10-15 min so I am thinking that they should be starting my order because there was a mistake and I had placed my order 30min before, only to have waited another 50min while watching people who have placed orders after get there food. Very sad and angry about how they handled this situation because I really like the food, but this was really annoying to get have my ordered get passed over and prepared last to orders that were placed after.
