Darlings Grocery is hands down the best stop on Madeline Island. The fact that they’re open year-round is already a gift, but what really makes it special is the mix of staples and surprises. They’ve got all the hits...Tony’s Chocolonely, chili crisp, THC beverages and their homemade bread is the kind of thing you plan a day around. This little grocery store and the lovely people working there made our trip to Madeline Island so easy! There were so many gluten-free and organic options as well as vegetarian/vegan stuff. The folx behind the counter were kind and patient plus the whole environment was queer/trans affirming! Yes, it is a little more expensive, AND I'm so happy to support such a wonderful little grocery store! Thank you for being such an extraordinary...

New name new personalities. I was happy to visit this in August of 2025. The store staff were friendly and kind. Some of the older crabbier employees that worked there are no longer there, which is a good thing. They have a great selection and prices are pretty decent for being...
