If you head out to Madeline Island, make sure you stop here so you can see the whole island by moped. Staff was super friendly and explained everything really well. I’ve never driven a moped before, so I was thinking about dipping out and just getting a bike or e-bike. The staff member (wish I would have gotten her name) talked me into it after having my doubts and explained everything thoroughly and I’m so glad she did - it was one of the best parts of the trip. We were out for about two hours, but I would’ve loved to spend the day cruising on that thing. It was $30 a person per hour and well worth it. Helmets were provided as well. Make sure to bring sunglasses and a mask as well. If you’re a newer rider, you’re able to practice in the lot next door to get the hang of things. Can’t wait to do this again!

I cannot provide a review for an actual rental service. My rating is solely based on the poor communication by Motion To Go. We rode the ferry over to Madeline Island with the intention of renting mopeds. The website stated specifically they were open on Sundays in October from 10-4 and that reservations were not required. We realized they were closed that day, 10/6, because we happened to see a paper sign taped on a bulletin board inside the ferry. There were other customers standing outside the building wanting to rent bikes or mopeds who also didn't know they were closed.

My wife and myself rented mopeds and it was a great experience! The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful with telling us about the island and how to get to certain places. Overall it was a blast! Cruising around the island and enjoying the views and weather was a great way to explore Madeline Island! Highly recommend renting a moped next time you visit this island!

Use caution with your reservation. They do not state on their website or clarify that when you reserve, if there are changes you are still held to original reservation. We reserved 10 bikes. You give ages of all individuals and thoughts of what bike a person may need not knowing what the sizes are of the bikes they own. One of our individuals could not come the day of reservation reducing our need to 9. One of the 12 year olds needed to have a smaller child sized bike because the smallest size adult was still a bit too large and he was worried of hitting his privates on the bar. One of our bikes had bald tires and blew while we were riding. (Fortunately we had phone signal and could call them to drive us another, but we had to wait on the road.) When asked about over charge, we got charged for full 10 adult bikes, the one bike downsized to child didn't reduce from 36$/day to 28$/day as it should. It was very busy there. Lots of commotion. They would have had no difficulty renting the bike we did not use and the adult bike we could not use. I could probably fight this since it is not in writing. Who has time for that?! Not me. Bad business practice and...

Motion To Go gets the job done! Do not expect friendliness or a big welcome. You can expect a map and answers on closing time. They also sell bottled water and clothing in their little gift shop area. Located just 5 minute walk from the ferry. They offer bikes, E bikes and mopeds. We chose the bikes what you rent by the hour for half the price of E bikes. Note you cannot share a moped so need to rent one for each person. The ride out to the state park was awesome. Nice and flat with a bike lane. Takes 35-40 minutes to get out to the park on a regular bike. There is no water available at the park-just basic bathroom needs. There is a great boardwalk at the park along the water. Easily accessible on a wheelchair too. We took the scenic route home that was longer and more hills but worth it. This route brings you by more houses, the golf course and the marina. Awesome experience that included exercise and access to the whole island. Would definitely rent bikes again!! Only 4 stars because a little customer service would have been nice when we...

We called before coming over on the ferry to see if they had any mopeds to rent and reserve 2. They don't allow you to reserve them. I understand because if there is a no-show, they are out money, but they could have charged one's credit card to make sure they got paid. When I asked the guy if he had any clue as to when more would be available, he just simply said no. I just asked for an estimate. He was a bit rude in this. For example, if someone only rented one for the hourly rental rate, you should have a clue as to when they will be back. Or, if they were simply all rented at the day rate, he could have said that as well. He just wasn't very customer service friendly at all. They had all kids of mopeds out back that looked just fine for rentals, but maybe they had issues. Whatever happened to being kind...
