Excellent experience due solely to the assistance of store associate Chris! She provided service above and beyond. First of all, as we were just getting started with what I needed, another customer came over and sought to interrupt and get her attention from me and to himself. She very politely advised him that she would be happy to assist when she was done assisting me. As a person who has experienced the disrespect of having my questions placed on hold for another customer who interrupted, I appreciated her willingness to politely reinforce me as her present priority. She further helped me find garments that I did not find when I originally looked for them. This was huge as I was in town for one day only, outfitting someone for a wedding and it would have been terribly inconvenient to have to look elsewhere for my items. While I didn’t find the items, she assured me that the records indicated that the item and sizes I wanted were in store and she would be sure to locate them for me. And she did! She is the reason for the sale that day because if I had needed to go elsewhere, I probably would have left everything in favor of finding everything in one location. She was energetic, respectful and friendly and she made your store look great. Hope she gets a bonus and a raise! I am delayed in this feedback because my trip was extensive, driving up from Texas and further on to the Catskills area for the wedding and back again. Please let her know how fabulous the suit and other clothing worked out and how grateful I am to...
Read moreI took a bike I bought last summer for a spin around town. The first part, to the mall, required little effort as I coasted downtown. My mission, to eat and buy a pair of pants, seemed simple enough. T.J Maxx had nothing in my size and hasn't for a long time. Neither did Target. I peddled up hill to Kohl's, the first time I had visited a Kohl's since departing Northville in 1999. The store played motivational music, tunes that sounded popular, featuring lyrics like "Roll the Dice" or "I Can Do Anything". I tried the men's section but couldn't find anything right. A woman came walking through, bearing a lanyard around her neck and carrying a scanner. "Oh, I'm sorry. You want the khaki section. And surely enough, I found everything from Dockers to Wranglers to a few fancier brands. The shopping process still required searching, but at least I found stacks of pants in a variety of colors and prices. I found a pair that broke at the right length, leaving enough room between my shoe tops and the cuffs. Too higher and the teasing begins. "Hey, you're wearing waders", boys of my youth would taunt. Too low and the back of the cuff frays as it drags along the floor.
I have new clothes for tomorrow. I hope that means a...
Read moreQuality of merchandise has cheapend, yet most everything is overpriced. The clothing items are not folded, stacked and in disarray. Items on hangers are packed in tightly and on multiple racks, making it difficult to find a size. 'On Sale' items, coupon policy, rewards policy including expiration dates is too restrictive for many customers. Policies are cumbersome and impossible to keep track of. Some employees are rude - and scarce. I only shop in our local store when I need a specific item in a pinch. But a 'shout out' to Eric (on loan from your Clay store) who greeted us at the door, and located my two packages- which were at two different locations in this store. I never could have located them - one was in a closet to the right of entry door. UPDATE: 4/29/25: Shout out to Matthew who located two additional orders - in different locations in the store. Very polite, knowledgeable and...
