If you are considering training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and live in the Thornwood area, please read:
My child (14) joined Trenton’s “Kids - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu” BJJ class and I just asked her of all the qualities, Trenton has as a teacher, what was the one that stood out to her and she said "patients"…
If you ask me of all the qualities Trenton has, including knowledge, skill and ability it is his gift to understand you as a student and make suggestions that are appropriate and relevant to you and your game vs some instructors teach what they are good at and expect you to be able to play their game.
Further, People must understand what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is, I say Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is the single best tool to “Train your Brain to be believe anything is Possible” - BJJ is all about countering the counter, every move has a benefit and a vulnerably and you must train your brain to believe there is way, when a way seems impossible. (and it all carries over into everyday life)
Training BJJ is the missing “self help” tool most people are looking for but are scared out of their mind to simple get started or worse to simply walk in the front door of any gym.
So here is my promise to you, if you can walk through the front door of Thornwood Brazilian Jiu Jitsu your life will change for ever, Physically, Mentally and Emotionally…
And best of all you will become part of an ever-growing family of friends that will help you grow, molding you into a better you…
See you...

Class size not big which was good and a number of guys were older adults which made the heat even more dangerous. They should change that. Tried two other schools and they had the AC on for ventilation and it was comfortable even when sweating while training hard. The mat space was good. Bathrooms on a separate floor but changing room was available. Overall people were welcoming but the heat and lack of ventilation...
