Before going to Audio One on Military Rd, Niagara Falls, NY, I had quite an unpleasant experience at Precision Auto on the Boulevard near 72nd St. After speaking with a very polite gentleman on the first occasion, I went back on my appointment day to have security and daytime running lights, a necessity, for my relocation to Canada. When I got to Precision, I was told in a very stern unprofessional voice by some woman who claimed to be the owner, who continued to sit behind the counter with no apparent manners or concern, that I must be in the wrong place, as there was no appointment under my name. As it turned out, I was scheduled a week later by the polite gentleman, who wrote down the wrong date.
Not only was I grilled as to what I "hoped" to have installed in my vehicle, one of the mechanics accompanied me to my car, and stated that I did not need the daytime running lights as they were already installed in my car! When he got to my car, and saw that I had an on/off switch, and didn't have daytime running lights, I felt that my credibility was at stake. I was talked down to in a condescending a manner, and was asked whom I spoke to; as if I made up my request scenario. I did not know the initial young man's name, and was told that there was no one there who looks like that. Afterward, when it was discovered that I was correct, and my installation request was written down, I was told to come back "next week" , with no apologies offered. I decided then to go elsewhere. I called Audio One on Military Rd, and was received very graciously with a great professionalism by Lon. He listened to my needs for moving to Canada, and even offered a security system used in Canada which I would not have thought of. I would also get my security system and daytime running lights taken care of for less than at the other dark, unpleasant "dungeon". The mechanics at Audio One looked professional compared to the individual at Precision, who appeared to be some fly-by-night flunky who spoke to me like some chump one would run into on the street. I, by the way, am not a difficult person, nor am I a crank who finds fault at the least little problem. My review here was inspired by my initial bad experience...
Read moreWent here several years ago because I had gotten a gift for a car starter. The staff was nice and didn't take long but after everything was said and done my car wouldn't work. I got stuck infront of someone's house and they sent someone from the shop to fix it but they couldn't so after about an hour or two they decided to tow it to there shop and told me to come back the next day so they could fix it or else they would sent it to the dealer. They called me the next day to say it was working fine and when I picked it up sure enough same issue and I was stuck on the side of the road again. Apparently the owner didn't want to have it towed and had just hoped for the best. End of story I had to get it towed to the dealer where they fixed it in no time. I never got a starter and would never return to this place or recommend it. It was a frustrating experience especially since my car was only a few months old and their shop was far out of my way, not to mention I had to find rides to get there and spend two days of my time to handle this. The only plus was the staff seemed to care and did all they were able to do within their means. I have seen a lot of high reviews for this place so maybe they excel in...
Read moreService was fast and they completed the install as expected but I have a couple of concerns which prevents me from offering a 5 star review.
If my appointment is at 1030, then my car should be brought in right away, not 45 minutes later.
The representative at the counter was vaping in doors in front of customers.. I get it, its your business.. but not everyone wants to breathe in your nicotine vapors ... is this even legal?
Your techs should make sure they plug in all door switches. This creates an inconvenience for customers. Thankfully I was not far away and checked this. But it was nuisance to turnaround after a couple of hour wait.
More seats. Seriously.. two chairs? What would it take for you to spring for a few lounge chairs in place of some merchandise stands that serve no purpose. Its just good customer service for people who are waiting.
Pros, knowledge of the rep. friendliness, overall speed. There was a problem and they fixed it asap. This is a good business practice. I would go again for the...
