I recently had a highly distressing encounter at the food court in this Supermart that I feel compelled to share. The incident involved an employee who not only engaged in language abuse but also resorted to threats, creating an extremely uncomfortable and unsafe environment for customers.
The language abuse I experienced was completely unacceptable. Instead of providing assistance or addressing my concerns, the employee and the manager in charge hurled profanities and derogatory remarks towards me. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also reflects a complete disregard for customer service and basic human decency.
I felt genuinely concerned for my safety and the well-being of other customers present at the time. This kind of intimidation has no place in any establishment, let alone a food court within a reputable supermarket.
I believe it is imperative for Supermart to take immediate action to rectify this situation. It is essential to thoroughly investigate this incident, identify the responsible employee, and implement appropriate disciplinary measures. Customers should never have to endure such distressing encounters when simply trying to buy meal or shop for groceries.
I hope that by sharing my experience, Supermart management will take this matter seriously and ensure that such incidents are never repeated. Customers deserve to feel safe, respected, and valued when patronizing any establishment. I sincerely hope that necessary steps will be taken to address this issue promptly and effectively.
I cannot emphasize enough how deeply disappointed and disturbed I am by this incident. I genuinely hope that Supermart will uphold its commitment to providing a positive and secure environment for all customers, and take concrete actions to prevent similar occurrences...
Read moreYou have to understand the world of underpaid, overworked and exploited workers at Chinese businesses to empathize with their plight. Their rudeness and lack of social graces are a turn-off for customers and merit scorn, but one should not expect much, considering their slave wages and unsavory working conditions so typical of these businesses trying to maximize profit and maintaing low prices.
That being said, let's focus on the store itself. As a supermarket, it is spacious, well-lit and clean,. The usual funky scent is slightly palpable, but not overwhelming as in most Chinese markets. The breadth and variety of Asian products are great. It is paradise for serious chefs And the prices are good and competitive for these products. But be forewarned not to purchase regular non-Asian supermarket items as their prices are insanely high. Also, be wary of the fish as they do not discard anything past its freshness. The variety of fruis and vegetables are my usual reasons to shop there. Prices are low, especially when on sale.
Overall, shopping here is a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The mere fact of not needing to endure the ordeal and stress of venturing into Flushing already makes it appealing, not to mention the...
Read moreMy grandparents were using their benefit card and asked the cashier’s help to read their balance (mind you my grandparents do not know English). They asked the cashier to read their balance but she decided to reply with, “Do you not know how to read?” This was an extremely disgusting reply not even trying to help. So my grandparents tried to figure out how much money was in their balance then the cashier had the audacity to be impatient and goes, “So are you not gonna pay?” Excuse me??? You didn’t even try to help. This store seriously needs to check on their damn employees and hire the right people. Also, they had sold my grandparents moldy meat! Rude employees and awful food? This is ridiculous for a Chinese supermarket to pick on someone just because they don’t speak English. If this is how you treat your loyal customers for years, you are losing your...
