Bakers of All Nations — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

Fearing I had messed up a dish I made for a work potluck, I stopped on my way to work to pick up a box of cookies, just in case. Even though I pass Bakers of All Nations every morning and delight in the heavenly smell coming from its store, I have never been inside.

Walking in I was delighted to see lots of tables and chairs and a good amount of people taking in a leisurely morning bite. How I longed to join them. Alas, I scanned the cookie racks and decided to get a box for the office. Prices aren't listed and I wished I had asked because it did come out a little pricier than I had anticipated.

There ended up being so much food at my work potluck, and the dish I made came out really good, that any dessert brought in was kind of passed over. I did muster up some space in my tummy to try out a cookie and it was rather good, but I will definitely return to get a better taste of...

I used to work at a prominent Manhattan bakery and have been annoying picky about bakeries ever since. The food that comes out of this bakery is insanely fresh and insanely delicious. My only criticism is their pies are mediocre (though they look amazing). But literally everything everything else looks and tastes amazing!!!! You can really tell the love that goes into the food and the staff is always very nice. They also have seating inside and I cannot stress the prices are wonderful as well. I hate to admit that the prices are soooo reasonable that I go in and just start buying whatever looks good and probably far too much, but the prices are sooo good that I walk out with a parties worth or baked goods vs if I went to a bakery I would have maybe had like 3 items. I was craving for portuguese cream custards (pastel of nata) i went last week to get a dozen of them at this bakery. Supposedly they are made fresh daily. However, the cream custard was too sweet all you could taste is the sugar and tasted just like those supermarket cheap yellow cream fillings on the danishes. Not the texture or taste you would really expect. The shell tasted very rubbery and old ..they were not flaky at all and so oily. They were nothing like i have tried at other places. My family, after one bite no one else wanted to eat it and they ended up in the garbage can. Very disappointing. I would not recommend getting the pastel nata...
