IT WAS THE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY & I CALLED TO HAVE MY HAIR DYED (SINGLE PROCESS), CUT (STYLED) & BLOWN DRY. I was told I would be given a break because I was not aware I could not use the 2nd Groupon I purchased on my hair. I was informed it was not t/1st time I was there & therefore I couldn't use it. My birthday 🎉 is the following day so I paid & was charged $90.00. I paid in cash giving the woman $100.00 bill. I received NO RECEIPT or CHANGE. I was quickly whisked away to my Stylist. Later on I realized I hadn't been given my change or receipt & so I asked 4it. I was told that I had been given the change ($10.00) & that their register balanced out & if I still disputed what happened the owner would check their video & notify me of the results. I was also told they only give u a receipt if u pay by credit card or if u really want one, it would be sent by email. At 1st I started 2give her my email address but then I felt uncomfortable doing so & instead I gave her my card, she returned the $100.00 & told me I would have to give her $10.00 back, I did (begrudgingly) then I paid by card in order 2obtain a receipt. I was also told by this woman that I was being too aggressive in our transaction. I'm assuming she's saying this because I didn't agree. I sat down & quietly waited 4my hairdresser. Behind me I hear the woman at the front desk complaining to a hairdresser about what happened. I was then called to begin what I came for, MY HAIR STYLING EXPERIENCE: I was given a woman named Julie/Julia not sure. She is kind, very much so, had her hair well done & because of what I saw I felt confident she knew what she was doing. I was quickly disappointed, SHE DID NOT!!!? Either someone else does her hair or she only does her hair well for herself. I asked for my hair to be dyed "LIGHT ASH BROWN" It was dyed "DARK BROWN" NOT THE COLOR I PICKED FROM THE BOARD. She came over with the board 4/me 2pick out what color I wanted. I want to say that the woman @ t/front desk described Julie/Julia as being a TOP COLORIST... THAT WAS NOT MY EXPERIENCE. I then waited for my hair 2b cut & blown dry. I requested it not be curved under when blown dry. I wanted my hair to be blown dry straight but I did not want to look as if my hair had been chemically straightened. I have naturally straight hair. SHE DRIED MY HAIR CURVING MY BANGS (NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR) MY HAIRCUT WAS BLAHH, IT HAD NO HEALTHY BOUNCE TO IT & IT WAS NOT STYLED, JUST CUT. I GAVE HER A $25.00 TIP because she was kind & I guess felt she was doing her best not because she took care of my hair as if it were her own. I FEEL THEY RUINED MY BIRTHDAY EXPERIENCE....I PURCHASED 3GROUPONS. 2 of them were for cut, color & blow dry & one of them for blow dry & cut. If I am unable to use the Groupons for myself under my name, why would Groupon sell it as such? THE FIRST GROUPON I USED WAS GREAT, I HAD "ANDREA". By the way I was told she was on vacation & the woman in the front informed me that she herself is the supervisor of that location. Who do you complain to??? The owner was apparently in the new Salon out in Plainview??? I tried searching for the location on the internet, NO SUCH PLACE...MAYBE UNDER ANOTHER NAME? I GAVE $35.00 IN TIPS TOTAL, PAID $90.00 FOR MY HAIR TO BE DONE & AN XTRA $10.00 (4 what?) IN TOTAL $140.00 FOR SOMETHING I COULD HAVE DONE TO MYSELF FOR MUCH LESS. I AM NOT A HAIRDRESSER WHICH IS WHY I PAY FOR THE KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE & I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I wrote this review as a birthday gift to myself & I hope it doesn't happen again 2me again. I GAVE THIS REVIEW ONE STAR BECAUSE THERE IS NO MINUS ONE STAR TO...
Read moreThe lady at the front desk was extremely rude obnoxious and unprofessional. I had purchased on groupon coupon for haircut and blow dry. Although I wasn’t aware that the same customer cannot use the coupon twice but well I had already purchased it for 25$. So I just thought of not getting the haircut done but the lady at the front desk assured me that she can use the groupon as money and the balance amount I can pay in cash also she would give me 20% discount. So I Agreed and got the haircut done. During the payment she just refused to take the groupon saying I can either give u 20% off or use the groupon money which clearly she didn’t mention at first because if she did I wouldn’t be writing this review here. So after that I just took few minutes to calculate how much will I have to pay either ways... she got so furious on me for keeping her on hold as if I was going to leave without paying anything. Like I am sorry but that’s not how you treat your customers.. I ended up paying 32$+ 25$ (for groupon) for just a normal haircut and blow dry. Never...
Read moreJust ok. Did not use a groupon paid full price for a haircut. It was the fastest haircut of my life but looked average. Was told if I was a client I could get bangs trimmed at no charge. Went once and although I said cut short they grow fast, they left on the longer side and within 2 weeks we’re long again. Pushed it o another months trying to curl them up to stay out of my eyes. Finally went back. Waited in the chair 15 minutes and was then told we will have to charge you this time. I questioned why and was told I would have to get my haircut every month to get a bang trim. If I got my hair cut every month, I wouldn’t have any hair left. I usually go about 3 times a year. I have received better haircuts for less money. I will be going back to my regular salon in franklin square where the haircut/no charge bang trim was never an issue. Was just looking for somewhere closer. High priced, not that fancy salon, on...
