would’ve loved to leave a better review because I expected a really good experience but that wasn’t the case because unfortunately I was insulted 5 minutes into sitting in his chair. “Wow you’re getting a lot of grays, how old are you?” While he was on the phone with somebody. Something along those lines. I never had a barber say that to me. This was the first time I ever went to him for a haircut and that’s how you treat somebody in your house for the first time with an insult? I could never do or say that to anybody. I could see if he was my barber for 15 years. But not somebody I just met. He’s lucky he didn’t say that to the wrong person. I held my composure and remained professional because I drove all that way. I expected professionalism. My appointment was at 3. He opened the door for me at 2:58-2:59. I came at 2:45 waited, went back to car, came back to the door at 2:53-55ish and still waited till he opened the door, then he opened it while on the phone and he looked at me like he wasn’t expecting me. He then told me to sit and wait while he was on the phone and continued to cut my hair while he was on the phone with verizon. I drove all the way from Yonkers to croton for this haircut so I was already there and looking forward to the haircut. He asked me how I wanted my haircut while he was on the phone. You know you have a customer coming, especially a first timer, why would you even book me or call somebody while I was there? Turned off the fan, I could’ve passed out It was so hot. Never going back. I’m sorry. I was super excited for this appointment because I read nothing but great reviews but after he insulted me, he could’ve painted my hair blue at that point. I didn’t care what he did with my hair. Even when he asked how I wanted my hair, when I told him to just fade the sides, he answered a bit sassy. I’ve gone to barbers who I just said trim it and they did just that. A barber is supposed to have the vision, I didn’t think it was a big deal when I said I wasn’t sure what number or what I wanted exactly because I thought he would just fade it a little bit to clean the sides. I’ve gone to classic barbers all my life for a trim or clean cut. I never really had to be specific, which wasn’t the problem. I didn’t like how he insulted me, 5 minutes in, while he was on the phone. First time sitting in his chair.
When somebody comes to get a haircut, it’s them time. They don’t want to hear your phone calls. I never went to a barber and they were on the phone, I swear to everything. Who talks to somebody on the phone while cutting somebody’s hair?
The haircut wasn’t bad, he did a decent job and listened to that part. But at that point I didn’t care. He’s lucky he didn’t say it to the wrong person. Not coming back. Wasn’t worth it. I stayed nice because It’s not worth stooping down to somebody’s level. We all have businesses and customer satisfaction is the most important thing. You never insult a customer, you need them because they’re putting food on your plate. Just can’t believe he insulted me the first time I stepped into this place. Great people skills and professionalism. 👍🏻👍🏻
