Peruvian food is probably my favorite kind of cuisine in the world and I've been to many different Peruvian restaurants in various communities. This may be the best Peruvian restaurant that I've ever tried. Everything was so delicious. The papa a la huancaína was probably the best that I've ever had. Both the potatoes and the huancaína sauce were perfect. The ceviche was right up there with the best that I've ever had. The prices are reasonable and the serving sizes are decent, which is very important to me as a big eater. I ended up spending a lot of money only because the food was so good that I just wanted to keep ordering more and more food. It was a great feast. The food also comes out pretty quickly and the service was good. Unfortunately, I don't live in the area and I don't go around there too often or I would be one of their best customers. I'll definitely be trying to go back there whenever I'm in the area though. I wish that they would open a second location in Middletown, New York. They would see me...
Read moreI visited this place with my family and I thought that the food was really good. I ordered the lomo saltado and it was really good. One of the things that I liked the most was the little kernels that were given as a kind of pre appetizer. I forget what they are called but they look like popcorn kernels and they are served roasted and salted. If there is one thing that really struck me about my visit it was the desert. Which I know why is the desert the most memorable thing; well it’s because Lúcuma fruit is excessively difficult find or get from anywhere that know of, and to be able to have Lúcuma ice cream outside of Peru at least to me is very special. Lúcuma as I am told is a type of fruit that is native to Peru that has a very gritty texture to it and is not a fruit that you bite into like an apple so it’s usually processed into the other desserts. It is a very sweet, kind of like a cross between cantaloupe and pears. I recommend the lomo saltado and...
Read moreClean, quaint and relaxing little spot. The service was prompt and good. The food was ok but could definitely use some improvements. The Causitas Ricas was good, especially the one with the shrimp, the sauce used was really good. The meat in the empanadas could use a bit of seasoning but I like the pastry portion, it has a nice little hint of sweetness. Our Yuca fries were nice, hot and just the right amount of crispy but needed a sauce for dipping. The plantains were done just right. The Asian de Gallina, was just so bland, the pepper sauce and chicken had no flavor and I couldn't even sense a hint of parmesan. I would give place another chance based on the prompt service we received and with hopes the food itself have improved. Would be helpful as well if the business offered other adult beverages apart from...
