STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before I even start, I have been going here since it opened in 2011 so I have plenty of experience here and I really don't understand how this place is still in business. The staff is beyond rude, especially at the front desk. They are trained to give Fake Hospitality. They come off as friendly because they always smile, but in reality they give you an unpleasant experience in the gym.
Many of you may consider joining this place as a way to relax and unwind after a long week of stress. Think about that for a minute. The last thing you want is more aggravation before you go to the pool, play basketball, workout, etc.The second you walk in the door, you will very likely get harassed by the workers at the front desk. They will make remarks at you if you bring in food( even if its a supplement), sometimes water but not always, and if you forget to bring your membership card one time they will lecture you on how you aren't above everyone else. Also if you ask them a question about when things close, and which facilities are available, etc. their response is far too often " How would I know". Umm they work there I think they should know; and even if they don't they shouldn't respond that way.
Not to mention, its almost 400 dollars a month for a membership. Not a year, a MONTH. They charge country club prices for a place that is run nothing like one, for a place that puts customers into a bad mood within literally seconds of entering the facility. Their staff is the reason why since this place opened in 2011, less and less people have been going to this place. You can even check the data for yourself if you don't believe me.
I am not someone who usually cares if someone takes personal insults at me. But in my six years at this overpriced place, on a couple of occasions members of the staff would call me an" Entitled Jew" not thinking I heard because I would ask them too many questions when they would rather talk on their phones instead of assisting customers. Just because I am Jewish, doesn't mean I am entitled. I didn't want to complain to management at first because as I said I am there to unwind and relieve stress and I don't wanna have to go back and forth with them about issues. About a couple months ago, I complained to the head of the member services department because I couldn't take it anymore and I told her if it didn't stop I was going to discontinue my membership. She literally smiled the whole time and acted like she really didn't care. You can ask anyone from the area if you don't believe that this stuff goes on. This stuff has happened to countless of my friends and do not be fooled by their smiles and initial presentation of people who want to help you.
On the bright side, they have a basketball court and a pool. Even with that, the basketball court is often closed off from members due to birthday parties so the gym can make more money. They have very convenient hours open 20 hours a day 7 days a week. But what good are the convenient hours if you feel like you aren't wanted there.
One final note, the exclamation point was that the GM told me that the staff members were right and that I was wrong. At this point, I decided I am not going to pay close to 400 a month and be treated this way. Plus she offered no apology for her employee's actions. It's your decision whether or not you want to join this place, not mine. If you don't care about the way you are treated and you can easily afford this place then join. But I would say if you are like most people you would want to be treated with respect, and have a comfortable place to relax and unwind after a long...
Read moreI find it mind boggling that members have the audacity to speak on an employeeâs integrity when it comes to following the gymâs policy. Iâve seen it first hand with how entitled these members feel just with the sweetest front desk employee Ayesha. This review is in response to the delusional comments being left on her name.
I cannot rave enough about Ayesha, the front desk employee at Lifetime Gym! From the moment I stepped through the doors of the gym, she has consistently made every visit an absolute pleasure. Iâve been a member of Lifetime for quite some time now, but itâs Ayeshaâs exceptional customer service and warm demeanor that has truly elevated my experience.
First of all, Ayesha always greets every member with a bright smile and friendly attitude. No matter what time of day it is, she manages to make you feel like a valued member of the Lifetime community. Her positive energy is contagious, and I always look forward to interacting with her as I come in or leave. Itâs rare to see someone with such a natural ability to connect with people, but Ayesha does it effortlessly. She knows so many members by name, and that personal touch really sets her apart.
Beyond her friendly attitude, Ayesha is incredibly professional. Whether I need assistance with checking in, navigating membership details, or figuring out class schedules, sheâs always quick to offer help and does so with a smile. Iâve noticed that she has a deep knowledge of the gymâs offerings, which makes the entire process smooth and stress-free. She doesnât just answer questions; she genuinely helps make the experience better, no matter what the inquiry.
Another thing that really stands out is how Ayesha handles busy times. The front desk can get hectic, especially during peak hours, but she remains calm, efficient, and always composed. She manages the flow of people and tasks with ease, and I canât even imagine how many different things sheâs juggling at any given moment. Her ability to stay organized and upbeat, no matter how chaotic the environment gets, is truly impressive.
Iâve also witnessed Ayesha go above and beyond to assist other members, always showing a level of care and attention that makes you feel truly appreciated. Sheâs the kind of person who is always looking out for others, whether itâs offering a word of encouragement to someone working out or helping a new member get acclimated to the gym. Iâve personally seen her assist someone with a special request, going out of her way to make sure they were taken care ofâand she did it with such grace.
The welcoming atmosphere that Ayesha creates at the front desk is one of the reasons I keep coming back to Lifetime. Itâs rare to find someone who genuinely loves what they do and is so good at it, but Ayesha does it all with an ease that makes every visit feel like a positive experience. She represents everything that Lifetime Gym stands forâcommunity, positivity, and top-notch customer service.
If I could give Ayesha more than five stars, I absolutely would! Sheâs a gem and truly an asset to the gym. Thanks to her, I always look forward to my workouts, and I leave the gym feeling energized and uplifted, not just from the exercise, but from the fantastic interactions with Ayesha.
Ayesha, thank you for making Lifetime Gym such a wonderful place to be! Keep being amazingâyouâre a real standout in the world of customer...
Read moreI agree with Danalee - some of the staff have the worst attitudes - anything you ask for from the snottier ones is a big problem, and the "rules" change constantly, depending upon who you're talking to. So, in return for your membership fees, you can definitely expect to be treated rudely, its only a matter of time until you find yourself dealing with this nonsense. My ten (10) year old daughter was on their adult supervised and coached 'swim team' - but the door staff were completely divided on whether she could be dropped off by her nannies for her 1 hour fully supervised class sessions (some of the staff would find it perfectly permissible, others would stop her at the door and create a big stink, upsetting her and making her late for her session because they claimed she needed adult supervision, when the swim team was supervised by an adult coach). I know what you're thinking, why not have the nanny bring her in and keep watch - but forget it - they insist that you add any and all nannies to your membership and pay for their full membership coverage monthly, if they are to take your kids in and watch them. When I tried to explain to a young manager there that at least 3-4 different people watched our kids (some of them being extended family members) and I did not want to pay an extra $300-$400 per month to add them all to our membership (which, of course, is way more money than the entire membership itself), he rudely answered: "well, nobody else has complained about the policy - they all paid." So, get ready to buy each nanny health club membership coverage just to deal with use of these facilities by your kids when you're working. This place is not kid friendly - particularly for families in which both parents are employed or are professionals (like ours) and have help raising their kids and shuttling the kids to their many activities. Finally, when you get fed up with their nonsense and want to terminate the membership - DO NOT EVER trust your salesperson when they call you back to discuss termination and then tell you there's nothing else you need to do to cancel - because Lifetime will keep billing you despite what the salesperson says. That's what happened when we cancelled, and we got charged for another 6 months, until we told our credit card company to block any further charges from them - then they started billing us directly, and while they later admitted the cancellation and the fact that we did not use the facility at any time after we spoke to the salesperson, they would not refund any fees they wrongfully charged and even insisted on us paying one more month, because their fine-printed contract required strict adherence to cancel (i.e. its easy to join and get on the paylist, but not so easy to cancel and stop paying). If you terminate, you must use their form, and send it by certified mail or deliver it in person - and I would get a receipt for the termination notice itself, because this company is not...
