Nice place, staff was great. They really worked with us to try to make the party fun. It was my little guy's 3rd birthday and we had kids ranging from 2 to 11. So it was hard to coordinate games they all understood. So I'd recommend going somewhere else if you have a group like ours. If you had closer age ranges or everyone is over 5 I think it'd be fine- but it's just the nature of these sorts of parties and not something I'd hold against LI Sports Hub. The guys tried a few games and didn't keep us limited to 3. I couldn't remember why I didn't have them do basketball and they started prepping the court and then I remembered that would have meant a second court and more money. They weren't busy- we were the only party there- so they added it at no cost. I saw on the site they seemed to have bounce house add ons but I could be wrong? They never suggested it but I didn't ask, for our group I probably would have done better with that. My only complaint is it was very warm on the courts and all the kids were extremely sweaty because it was so warm. The parents felt warm just standing there! They turned the gigantic fan up, which helped, but the fan is connected by a chain to one of the lights and it was swinging back and forth a lot from the fan movement. And the fan didn't help as much as I'd have liked. For that I'd give them 3 stars but the guys were so awesome I'd give 5 stars for basically everything else so my average is a 4! I do recommend this place and if we lived closer I'd sign my little guy up for classes in a heartbeat. As it is I might do so anyway. I will say the area is the nicest industrial park I've seen! So if you have a sports addict like we do I...
Read moreCool place for sports but have your party elsewhere, terrible experiencing dealing with the management & staff. Nearly impossible to get a hold of over the phone, I've even sent several emails and are completely ignored. The party started a few minutes late, and then they actually pulled the kids off the field 5 minutes early - we ended up only getting 52 minutes of playtime even though we paid for a full hour. We also paid for the larger field and they ended up just putting the 30 kids together in one single game anyways. "Coaches" were socializing the entire time, did not go out of their way to make the experience extra special for my child, and they barely engaged with the other children. And oh yeah, then there's the cake -- because I did not buy it from them, I was not allowed to use their freezer! (There were clearly no other parties going on at this time at 1000am on Sunday, which I asked the manager about, but she continues to ignore me) Because of this I had to run out to get the cake in the middle of the party,...
Read moreHUB hockey house league is very disappointing. Another league with too few players and old tires in the net for goalies. Was promised several teams with round robin type games with referees. None of that occurred. They had to scrounge for enough players and invite kids from other travel teams to fill in free of charge while the few of us payed $600.
The one positive is that the few kids that did join received what amounted to a small group lesson each week with the ice time coming out to about $25 per hour if you attended 24 sessions.
If you are expecting a league with competition and full ice hockey games with full teams and actual goalies, this is not the...
