I have been coming here to see movies for 10+ years...the place sucks, save for the actual movie theatres. It's the closest IMAX theatre to me, so I don't have much choice. It used to be absolutely filthy and messy and dirty, but in recent years they actually made a LOT of changes. It's way cleaner now, the concession area is split into different areas with a place to wait for hot food in the back..but that doesn't excuse other issues. There used to be black specks on the walls that you would think was part of the wallpaper, but were actually flies. All of that is finally gone, thank god.
However, the management is still terrible. They do next to nothing when problems occur--just ignore them. The food is honestly bad and not worth the money, save for popcorn(how can you mess up popcorn anyway though?) If customers have a problem, the management does next to nothing to help them. The lines are always incredibly long for tickets, or food. The staff is terrible at directing--there was one instance during the release of benjamin button that a hallway was so full of people waiting for the movie that fire marshalls were called two seperate times. I've also been around to see someone's car windows shattered in the parking lot---they got robbed, but there are no cameras out there, so the theatre couldn't do a single thing to help them but get an usher to sweep up all the glass.
There was an instance where one of the creoles that work for the theatre found my neighbor's phone, then used it to charge up tons of long distance calls on her bill! They don't employ very honest people!
This one issue is what convinced me that the place is run horribly, though. I went to see Kung Fu Panda 3 on a weekend morning---which was my biggest mistake, as the people from the developmentally disabled home go to see movies at that time. The entire time in the theatre, there was some man yelling and screaming and running throughout the theatre, stomping his feet. (All the other people in the party were stomping their feet and making outcries too, but he was the only one running around.)
An usher came in while this was going on to check the theatre, and did nothing. A bit angry, I went out and asked him to tell a manager what was going on in there and he said 'ok'. Nothing ever happened past that--no one ever showed up. I had a friend in from upstate--this was my only day to spend time with her, and we wanted to see this movie. I can't get that back. The people who work here just don't care, and don't do their job. The bathrooms are also usually absolutely filthy, and I've seen instances of men cleaning the...

Beyond that this is an excellent theater to watch a movie , it's massive and shows a large variety of films , limited release , special event films , it's very diverse
Seats are very comfortable and the layout is that of the stadium seating variety so your view is never obstructed .
I do appreciate the intimate feel of each individual theater , even the larger capacity ones have that because of the design of the theater , there is something exciting about walking down that hallway when you enter the theater that always gets me , it's silly , but that's a highlight for me and it sets the tone for what I'm about to see , I get that every time I go here .
I have to mention the sound system , it's always of a high standard , that is something people take for granted as you assume that will be a minimum standard but it's not something every cinema gets right z this one does , from a large scale blockbuster ( should wear earplugs for those ) to a smaller more intimate drama , the sound is always great , natural , mixed right , with the proper bass level .
The presentation with regards to the image quality is exceptional also , I never had an issue here and most times the movies will be shown in the proper aspect ratio although I'm not an expert on the various film formats or what aspect ratio any given film is supposed to be projected in but at least the movies that are supposed to be wide screen as shown in that manner . I experienced other theaters that don't get the ratio right and you'll be watching something in 4/3 format , had that happen numerous times . This one gets it right almost all the time
Anyway , I highly recommend this theater , it's fairly easy to get here and there is plenty of parking , the theater is clean , comfortable , inviting , and the staff are attentive...
Read moreThis is the only place i’ve ever had a bad move theatre experience. First, it took about 20-30 minutes for the movie to start after it’s supposed showtime. Then only a few minutes into the movie, the movie stopped and the fire alarm went off so the whole building had to evacuate. We were outside for about 5-10 minutes before we were told it was a false alarm and then being let back in. We were told that our movies would be resumed to where they left off but instead of that, they turned on the movies but you could only hear the audio, there was nothing on the screen. I decided to leave and go to the lobby where a bunch of other people were complaining about the same thing with their movies and asking to speak to a manager, which both were upstairs trying to fix everything. Other people began to come and say that their movie was on but was forwarded 30 minutes ahead. We waited atleast 15 minutes before the managers came down. One was on a laptop trying to fix it and another had to give ppl free vouchers to come back. I decided to stay because i was already there and wanted to see the movie but most of the other people either left or waited to get a free voucher to come back and watch it. So in all, I didn’t actually get to watch the movie until an hour after it was supposed to be on. Also not a big deal but both the icee machines were broken and i usually always get an icee so that was disappointing but again not that big a deal. The chair do recline but they were torn and so beat up. Only thing i have good to say is that there bathrooms...
