The Cop Shop — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I’m surprised this place has such a high rating on here. I went to this location today looking for something specific from a uniform company called Blauer. Turns out they don’t carry this company’s products but I had made the 25 min drive there already thinking they did (my fault) I figured I might as well buy something so I asked for a short sleeve uniform shirt. They had my sized so I asked if they could sew on NYPD patches. The sales woman says no problem and begins to fill out an order slip, I said wait they can’t do it now, I don’t live around here and it’s very out of the way to come back. She goes in the back to check and returns to say sorry we can’t. You can’t take less then 5 minutes to sew on two patches for a customer who was going to buy something even though you don’t carry what they really went there for. That’s just poor customer service to me. A suggestion to the owner….most of your customers are going to be NYPD since most other agencies in the area supply uniforms too their officers so maybe have a few shirts ready to go in different sizes with NYPD...

Originally was helped by a young lady who had great customer service skills and was overall friendly and helpful. I had to go back because the hem on my pants was way off and it was inconvenient but the lady I spoke with over the phone told me I can come in and it would be done on the spot. I get to the store and the same lady tells me she thought it was just one not five and I would have to come back but she could do the one pair for me. I work all week and have to pick up my kids after work so that wouldn’t work and one pair for a week won’t work either so I waited the hour she told me but it still wasn’t ready. Come back in 15 minutes later and the other two workers tell me it’s ready with no phone call and the lady who was suppose to be helping me(colorful hair) is in the room eating and doesn’t look happy when she sees me. Not sure what I did to her but I won’t be coming back...

Coming to the cop shop is always a great experience. The staff are always friendly, helpful and you can really tell they value their customers. Specifically speaking Donna and Jackie went above and beyond to try and help me and my mom. They gave us great ideas and knew exactly how to help. There was tons of inventory and many different styles to pick from which can be challenging but with the help of the staff became an easy process. Overall the cop shop is definitely a place to go for all your needs. Will always recommend! Thanks again girls for your great help. We’ll be back soon :)

Also I don’t know why people think the workers are rude, it is quite the opposite, in reality it’s just customer’s being disrespectful and the workers trying to solve...
