I used Safie Salon for my wedding last weekend and I couldn't be happier. 1st of all, the hair trial that I got with Cathy there just prior to my wedding was great. She gave me suggestions, but mainly worked with what I had in mind and made my hair absolutely beautiful. She took as much time as we needed with no rushing through it, showing me that my wedding hairstyle was important. I should also tell you that I actually tried this salon for the 1st time just a few wks prior to this, where I got my highlights done and also a haircut. My hair came out great, but the color was just not exactly what I had in mind. The hair stylist, along with the owner and manager, insisted that I needed to be happy with it and scheduled another appt., free of charge, to come back and fix my color to how I wanted it. When I went the following wk, they redid the highlights and made it the color I wanted. It looks great and I was so pleased with the service. ....Now on my wedding day, Lisa [the owner], along with Cathy [stylist] and Lea [makeup artist] all came to my house where I was getting ready. (I asked them to come there for my wedding day so i could get ready there with the girls.) Cathy did my hair amazing again and Lea did an unbelievable job with my makeup. I wasn't even expecting airbrushing for my makeup, but that's what she did and we all loved it! It actually stayed on perfectly ALL NIGHT, into the next day! I actually would go back for makeup on another important night.. My mother and 9 yr old stepdaughter also got their hair and makeup done and loved it too. They live on 2 opposite sides of long island and both want to start coming here now to use them! On top of the great service, the great hair and makeup and great people that I've dealt with here, the prices are good too. My bridesmaids and I felt like we were ready for a Vogue shoot, thanks to the incredible team at Safie Salon. Each stylist treated us with the utmost care and precision. You can tell how much they cared about making us look and feel beautiful and it meant the world to me. Danielle did my hair, and she is truly a master of her craft. Her attention to detail is unmatched; she meticulously adjusts every single strand until it’s just right. She examines your look from every angle and works efficiently to achieve absolute perfection. Danielle has been doing my balayage for a few years and I trust her completely. I was so in love with how amazing my wedding hair looked the entire day! I used Safie Salon for my wedding and Tara is absolutely amazing. She is an extremely talented stylist who made me feel at ease and created the most perfect retro hollywood waves for me. She is a perfectionist in the best possible way - she even washed my hair after blowing it out because she was worried that, with my product build up from years of using leave -in conditioner, my curls would not hold. Additionally, Dawn helped me with all my bookings and could not have been more accommodating (I changed my appointment multiple times - sorry, Dawn!). She called me a few times before my event to make sure all the details were correct and to see if I needed anything. Additionally, all of my bridesmaids loved their hair and we had a lot of fun just being in the salon together. The makeup services are also pretty good, a little heavy for my taste, but my bridesmaids, who prefer more coverage, loved their makeup.
