LOVE my local library!! The staff at Central Avenue are AMAZING!! Major props to the reference department!! The young man with the long hair is ALWAYS so helpful, as is the older gentleman who works there. I was looking for some books to request from other libraries, and one of the books I wanted there was only one copy, and it was listed as "missing" Me being the optimist I am, said "well hopefully they're just late returning it" and the gentleman says I doubt that but give me a minute. At first I was confused when he apologized for not being able to log on to Amazon (I am thinking that maybe they have some book borrowing system) when he told me that he ordered a new copy for our library and I would be the first to have it!!(I am reading it now) I was SO GRATEFUL and thanked him for his kindness!! I wasn't expecting that, and it was really a nice feeling!! I thanked him so much, he didn't have to do that for me!! I'm so glad that he was kind enough to do that for me, and now the library has one more great book!!

I also want to say that I love the books that have been free since the pandemic.. even if they charge again it's ok, as books were 5¢ and I found a few good books on that rack!!

I am glad that libraries are still in existence because I HATE internet reading and enjoy books, as do other...

For one, loud. I mean house party loud, staff barely controls wild children that come in to run rampant and nothing personally against the staff they're all great people and very helpful and whilst understanding work needs to be done around the library, should be more considerate of patrons trying to read or focus.

Specifically one star for having little to no, "no eating. Signs. I would rather not have to be told to leave half way through work and eating on a day off. If staff eats at their desks, this policy is invalidated by such.

I will state there are multiple occasions where comments have been made on my personal belongings by one particular staff member who I will keep anonymous for his privacy of course. Which let me guess, somehow isn't against policy.

I will still be coming to this library but I am expecting to see at the very least a sign clearly posted on the door, in eye view that states, "No eating. Patrons or Staff." Reasonably...

The librarians are so kind to my three year old daughter, she's grown up going here since before she could walk. Kids book selection is exceptional, the toys are clean and rotated often (preCOVID, now they are put away and I appreciate the precautions they've taken for safety). They always have something that makes a trip special, coloring pages, crafts, it's a place I feel good taking my kids. I dream of the day my kids are old enough that I get to explore the non-kids side of the library,...
