Anything Goes Clothing Consignment Shop — Local services in Town of Perinton

Even though this happened a while ago, I decided to write about it. My first visit to the store was on a Monday. There was only an elderly female clerk and me as the customer. Even though I hadn’t done anything, I was treated rudely. I thought she must have been going through something difficult, which is why I chose to remain silent and leave. On my second visit, with other customers present, I was very noticeably ignored and then, unsurprisingly, treated rudely. I wonder if it was because of how I looked—an Asian woman and not a native English speaker. Targeting someone based on their ethnicity doesn’t make you superior but pathetic. I hope Not everyone who works at this store behaves like she did. I hope this experience doesn’t make you lose faith in others. There will always be some who are unkind, but there are many good people willing to show kindness...

They lost the items I brought in for them to sell. Dealing with different people on different phone calls was not advantageous. What I was told by one manager as a settlement for the issue is not what the owners settled on, and they laughed at me out loud when I told them what the manager told me was the settlement. Another employee told me how to behave in the store. I was at a level of frustration that was unbelievable when I had to explain the situation for the 4th time to the owner, and she would not let me complete a sentence without interrupting me. Finally the owners daughter told her to just write the check. I went there because I was told by a good friend that this was the best shop around. This eclectic consignment shop in the Village Gate in Fairport is one of my favorite shops to find one-of-a-kind outfits, dresses, accessories. You can find evening wear, designer garments. The owners and staff are amazing, and you will find new finds daily. You wouldn't believe the number of times I found garments on the mannequins in the window and walked out with them all! They have a highly selective process in accepting any clothing, you won't find out of style or out of season clothes. It's always a treat...
