Wow, what a disappointment. Not "rustic", definitely not "tacos". Tiny menu - was not the one that is shown online, and no side dishes at all - plus $3.50 or $4 for a coke? Chips were greasy and tasteless and the salsa was .... well, just weird. Small "tacos" and overpriced ($8+ each). I had a fish "taco" ... the piece of fish was literally 2.5 inches x 1inch, the supposed sweet slaw as almost nonexistent, and I don't even remember if there was anything else on it. BTW, I use quotes, as I lived in New Mexico for 1.5 years, and aside from putting food in a small, cheap tortilla, there is nothing "taco" about them. My companion had some kind of beef "taco" and he said it was basically just some browned hamburger meat, not much else, and didn't taste like anything. And "cheeseburger tacos" .... seriously????
The place was way overpriced for value. In addition to really "meh" food, it had next-to-no decorations .... a couple of fake candles, white walls, dark wood beams, and a dirty floor, and was blaring country music. Country? At a "taco" place? We were the ONLY people there, and I can see why. When the waitress not only asked if everything was ok, but seriously said, "Don'tcha love it!!!" ..... we almost choked on our "tacos".
Yeah, we'll definitely not be back, and if you have any kind of expectations at all, I suggest you go...
Read moreI absolutely loved going to this place in their original location and went fairly often. I've tried twice to visit their new location in Fairport, which has unfortunately been difficult. The first time I showed up on a Sunday (according to Google they were open) to find out that they were closed on Sundays. I understand not being open every day, but it was WEEKS before their online hours were corrected. The second time I showed up around 6:30 on a Tuesday night. They were busy, especially for a Tuesday, but my wife and I waited 5-10 minutes for the hostess to even acknowledge us despite the fact that we were the only ones at the door. She said it would be 20 minutes or so before a table was ready, so we left our phone number and took a walk along the canal. We didn't get a call back until over an hour later, at which point the restaurant was about to close anyway and we had decided to eat somewhere else. I can't fault them for being busy, but the service at their new location leaves something to be desired. Even a simple "sorry for the wait" would go a long way. I'd try ordering takeout, but their online ordering is also down...
Read moreLast night we arrived at around 4:30 to eat. Hostess seemed annoyed when we walked in, as if she didn’t want to talk to us. Once we got sat, we order drink apps and dinner. After 45 minutes, we asked a hostess if we could have our queso. We had a toddler with us and they were getting antsy with this wait. Obviously, that is not their fault but chips for our table after this long wait could have helped our experience. The waitress came back and said they accepted an online order that was very large so they couldn’t start working on our food. Our waitress was helping in the kitchen as well so we couldn’t grab her attention to tell her we wanted to just leave. It took 1.5 hours to get our 4 tacos and our shells were burnt. Which made our food taste bitter. We spent wayyyyy too much money for awful service and overpriced burnt food. Multiple people were waiting 30 plus minutes for their pickup order. So everyone was put on the back burner for this one large order. It also didn’t help that it was a pretty hot day and apparently the AC wasn’t fully functioning that day. It’s unfortunate how they handled this situation. We...
