Woodside Orchards - Jamesport — Local services in Town of Riverhead

I went here on a Friday afternoon with my partner. The inside of the main building is super cozy with tables and couches there’s also ample seating with umbrellas behind the main building. All the standards ciders were great - the dry the sweet and the rose. The cider donuts were also fantastic! The apple orchard is behind the outdoor seating. There were four varieties of apples and probably around 100 trees. You get to fit all the apples you can in their paper bag for $20. This fits about ten pounds of apples. The apple picking experience was great. Friendly staff. The hard cider line moves really slow and it took us over a half hour to get our cider, but it was delicious and totally worth the wait. The donut line was absolutely ridiculous and the average time per customer was 15-20 minutes. By the time we had waited an hour and 20 minutes, only 4 people had walked away with their donuts. The two kids working inside the donut booth were eating and talking. Terrible service and absolutely not worth the wait. Will choose a different place if we want...

Came to this location after the other location (pretty much 2 miles up the road) wasn’t offering apple picking for the day. We got there late so not that many apples to choose from as many were on the floor and a lot of the trees were bare. They also let you know what apples are available for picking. $20 CASH for a picking bag.

Nevertheless we had a great time. The staff were friendly.
