My Husband said his phone was messed up and I told him to go to Verizon to have them look at it. He went to that one in Brockport after work and the lady, Carolyn in there told him his phone is old and he can get one for $400. And he said no I am not paying for anything. So Carolyn told him you can get this Droid for free. So he ok. Well when he got home I asked him how did it go and he was like oh I got a new phone. I was thinking they replaced his with the same one he has since it is less then a year old. We got it June 2013. We got him that kind of phone for a reason. So when he pulled out his new phone I saw what it was the Droid and was not too happy about that. He told me everything and I was like NO!! we went back down to the store and the lady Carolyn took my upgrade and locked me into a 2 year contact which I have been thinking since last year to go somewhere else. Funny thing is my husband is NOT an authorized user on my account for this reason and Carolyn never call me. My husband’s phone is less than a year old and still has a manufactures warranty for it. So after 3 hours in the store trying to take care of this (the second guy Bill was great) and it’s still messed up this morning. Now I have to waste more of my time to fix this. Plus the time my husband was in the store for an easy fix. My account is so messed up and when I call Verizon I am on hold forever. I called the store again this morning and talked to Rick and of course have to explain the story over he told me it will only take a minute to fix and does not see a problem when I call. I should not have too call to fix this problem. He told me he would fix it for me. He calls me back and told me that everything is fine he took care of it and told me I don’t have to call the store back and speak with Frank. I still have the message on my phone. I looked at my account again and I am back to my month to month and nope NO upgrade so if I am staying with Verizon I have no upgrade. I called the store back and Rick answered the phone and I tried to tell him that there still is a problem and he would not let me talk and told me that I should be happy he helped me and there is nothing else Verizon can do. I hung the phone up because he was not going to help me. Now I have wasted more of my time and I am at work and I am sure you can understand that does not look good that I have to do personal stuff at work to take care of something should have never happened in the first place. Went in asking for a particular phone and was told they were not in stock, the salesman convinced me that the phone I wanted was not good and sold me on another phone with the reassurance that if I was not happy with the phone i had 30 days to exchange it. After about 12 hours with the phone I was sold it was clear its basically a pile of garbage, the camera and battery which the salesman insisted were top of the line were terrible. I Went back in 1 business day later and as if by magic they now actually had the phone I originally wanted but after examining the phone I had purchased the previous business day, a scratch magically appeared despite myself never dropping or mis handling the phone in the short time I had possession. The individual taking care of me when went in for the exchange called someone and claimed the scratch was deep enough it could be felt with a finger nail/finger. Upon examining the phone myself I had trouble even finding the scratch itself and once pointed out to me by the sales person I felt the where the very small scratch had appeared and could not feel any noticeable scratch.
I am now stuck with a phone I do not want after most likely being lied to about the phone I wanted originally being in stock. Very disappointed in this entire experience and will not be returning...
