The employee I dealt with yesterday was unacceptably rude and have little knowledge of their stock. I asked for roach traps. She (Tara) half chuckled and said there's no such thing as a roach TRAP. Then called to have another employee come over for i don't know what reason as we walked right to them. She said it's a motel. On the packaging it says trap. Why the attitude? I've had similar run- in's with other employees there in the past. I rarely shop there as per the rudeness. They used to be helpful and pleasant some yrs ago....but not this group. There may be a decent employee there; but if so I wouldn't work with the snotty ones if I were them. And...is I was manager, she would've been suspended till upper management could be alerted or just fire her. There's not one reason for her to be so uppity. Then called me by a name other than mine. But I also saw on the receipt that whoever entered my name into the computer can't spell thus being incorrect as she used it when she spoke to me. I assumed she'd said it incorrectly so as to add to her unacceptable attitude. I won't shop...

Friendly, helpful staff that seem to never have a bad day. They will help you find what you need and even talk you through your project to make sure you know what you are getting into. I once went in to buy paint for my cement basement walls and was asked about moisture in the basement. We discussed ways to combat it and I walked out with the stuff I needed to waterproof my basement. He talked me through each step, showed me what I needed, and told me to come back if I head any questions. When I told him I didn't know if I could take that on as a project, he said that's ok because he knows I can do it! My basement has been dry for 5 years now, and I still shop Valu regularly! I used to go to Value stores instead of Home Depo or Lowes because you could get help, and they had some knowledgeable people. I was willing to pay more with less selection for being able to get help. While they had a lot of people working, no one made an effort to help me. I asked a salesperson who was busy talking to other workers. I had a list of things to buy and needed some help finging things.It was obvious this person had no clue or cared to find a worker that was knowledgeable who could answer my questions. I spent the next 20 minutes without one person looking up or offering help. They've always had decent service in the past. They're strengh was always customer service. Without that I don't have a reason...
