I went to Adorn 1220 Studios owned by Rebecca Izzo for eyeliner training and was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the services provided, the poor communication, and the lack of professionalism from her being an owner/operator.
One, I was not feeling well with allergies and communicated to her prior to “model day” to reschedule because I didn’t want to make any one feel uncomfortable even though it’s not COVID related. She responded with just a ,”Okay” . She then continued to followed me on Instagram and left me on “read” after I asked for a new date for ”model day” and never reached out to me with a new date.
Two, I reached out to her “again” for a new date for “model day” after haven’t heard from her for about ~2 weeks and her response back was, “Are you serious about this?”. In my opinion, that’s a very rude question because I’ve been trying to reach out to her a couple of times for a new date for “model day”. My commitment is irrelevant to her because I paid for her services and time. It’s her responsibilities as an owner/operator to get back to me as her customer/student and not the other way around. I am very committed and dedicated towards my career development. If not, I wouldn’t bother reaching out to her to reschedule my training or even face someone as rude and unprofessional as her.
Three, she became more proactive when I asked for a refund since it didn’t seem that she was taking my business seriously. It was extremely frustrating since I paid her in full – $300 deposit when booking for the training and $1700 (in cash) on the 1st day of class. It’s not my responsibilities to reach out to reschedule my training and also be treated in an unpleasant manner.
Four, she never asked if I practiced at home or even checked my practice pads when I came in for “model day”. I would expect for her as my trainer to check, critique, and or provide feedback. Training provided was ONLY on lash enhancement (top lash line only) and I would expect more for the price I paid.
I would NEVER recommend Rebecca to anyone because the services outlined on her website are not provided during the training. Her training services are overpriced and especially for the content that’s being taught. I’ve taken other advanced pmu courses with other amazing and professional trainers before and none of them was $2000 and they were very in-depth. I went to Rebecca for eyeliner training because my other trainers don’t do eyeliner training. Service anyone is going to get from Rebecca is how to act unprofessional and how to talk to others in a rude...
Read moreThere was several red flags during booking. Stay away if you don’t want an infection !!!
Signed up to be a “model” for lip blushing that gave $150 off service but had to be paid in full to book. I was looking to getting this done and thought why not. I book for Feb 24. I got sick with C on Feb 22 so rescheduled for March 8. The morning of the service she messaged and said she was sick and didn’t feel she could provide the service so reschedule for march 28th. Later that day of my she posted pictures of her just getting her lashes done. I should have just cancelled then but it was non refundable and I already paid. This was a true testament of how unprofessional Becca was.
During the appointment everything seemed clean but after the HORRIFIC experience I had with Becca I know it wasn’t sanitary at all! She had to record with her phone for her students and she adjusted multiple times the stand and record and stop WITH NO GLOVE CHANGES! Half way through she stopped looked at the top of my lip and said “ ok I’m just overthinking” and went back to it. Right after the appt I was able to see a visible spot right where she looked where something seemed to go wrong. Not sure if she pushed to hard there or what but it wasn’t normal. Also because of zero glove changes I believe from cross contamination she gave me a horrific infection . She kept thinking it was cold sores and kept circling back to it even trying to convince me at my appt I had one. Which if I did ( I didn’t) the service should not have been performed.
After several hours at urgent care I was prescribed antibiotics for the infection that actually helped healed my lips but I had side effects from the antibiotics that caused me to be numb in half of my body.
Becca told me to see a doctor for an antiviral for a cold sore when I told her it wasn’t that but an infection she ghosted me. She never checked on me. She never offered me ANYTHING except a BS apology.
When asking for a refund she made sure to take ZERO RESPONSIBILITY and couldn’t even offer me the tip back I gave to her when I prepaid. So now I am out $410 plus hundreds if not thousands in medical bills. She asked to see pics and then ghosted me again .
Becca is clearly not doing her job with her clients best interest but more the interest of making money at any cost; even...
Read moreI had been debating for a long time about getting my eyebrows done. I booked an appointment with another service provider 2 months in advance. I had some questions about the consultation so emailed this individual but a week went by and no response. Tried her on Instagram too. Finally called, leaving a message about the lack of communication and Becca called me within several minutes. Becca was very professional, and listened to my concerns of lack of communication with this person. I decided to trust Becca with doing my eyebrows and she even came in on her day off to accommodate my original appointment booking with the other person within a few days. The moment I stepped into her salon, she was welcoming and very friendly. She answered all my questions and I felt very confident having her do my eyebrows. We discussed which brows would be best based on my skin type and decided to go with the powder brows. I didn’t experience any pain and she was always checking to make sure I was comfortable. I wish I had done this years ago! I’m in love with my new brows. I’m only on day 2 but so far, everything is going well. She has been in communication with me everyday since the appointment, answering my questions on aftercare and checking in to see how I’m doing....
