Our group of four young ladies and an adult were excited to come here for the first time this morning. Itâs a Saturday and it was busy when we arrived. As we were waiting in line to place our order, we noticed there was only one table left in the very small dining area. There were not enough tables to accommodate the people in line. There were no signs that we could see indicating that you canât have someone from your party go and hold a table, so my two girls sat at the table to hold it for our group who was just about to order. All of a sudden, some rude worker came bolting towards my girls telling them to get up. I donât think she saw me in line as the adult who was with them because she was so rude to them - they are polite, well mannered, respectful 11 and 14 year olds - no need to be so nasty to them. They got right up when she so rudely barked at them. It was then our turn to order and the same nasty girl told us that for a group of our size (five people!) that it would take 20-30 minutes, maybe longer and that we would be better off getting take out because they will seat parties with less than 5 people before us - even though we were there first.....what???? This was the worst customer service ever. We decided to take our business to a restaurant that has workers who smile and who are polite and respectful to their guests and has enough tables to accommodate everyone. My family and the families of the girls who were with me will never step foot in this place again and be subjected to such rudeness. This was not rude, or an exaggeration It was good, but took 50 minutes to get our order for 5 people. With many empty tables, and two kids waiting, it may even have been generous to say 50 minutes is a âlittle slowâ.
This comment was too honest for the owner. He preceded to reprimand me, yelling and saying it was my fault for such a large group (of 5!), and told me to leave.
He made my 7 year old cry for seeing this foul treatment. Nothing like waffles helping a child lose faith in humanity. I regret eating here.
In retrospect, I have noticed how most of the 5 star reviews have beautiful photos, are accumulated in waves of time, and many even have the same wording, indicating they are paid reviews.
The waitress was nice. I hope she gets the tip we left.
EDIT: I cannot prove my story over his, because it is one word against another. His story is creative I will say that, and you kind of get a sense of who he is by the name calling.
I will say is insulting to say I was running in and out - The truth is my dad is blind, my mom is crippled, and I left 1 time to help them into the building. The order took 50 minutes from their arrival to make food for 4. This IS slow. His other details are untrue, and obviously in retaliation to the constructive criticism of being told the food was âvery good, but a little slowâ.

   Read moreI usually have no issues with The Waffle Factory, but after today's experience, I would not recommend it. I ordered a pick-up through DoorDash and arrived 30 minutes later, at the scheduled time. My order was nowhere to be found. Sometimes itâs very busy and it may take a little bit longer to get waffles out, and I understand that. Unfortunately, that wasnât the case today. When I showed the two gentlemen working there what I ordered, they showed me their DoorDash screen, which had no orders on it. They told me they would make my order right away but that I needed to calm down first. I had not been irate or displaying any verbal distress, but the cook (who I believe is also the owner) insisted that I "need to calm down" before making my order. At this point, I was over the situation and decided to leave.
Clearly, this business needs customer service training and updated equipment. There should be no reason for my DoorDash order not to go through other than poor internet connection or subpar technology on their end. Additionally, I found out they are not open on weekends anymore, which adds to the inconvenience.
Based on other negative reviews Iâve read, Iâm expecting the owner to respond with anger and a lack of professionalism, which would only confirm the issues I experienced.
