I called on two occasions asking if there was a military discount and they said there was.
When I showed up, they said that the discount for a year and they would not accommodate a short term discount. The front desk girl was rude and unadaptable. However, I agreed to the one month pass to not argue with her and move on.
I tried to be nice and we even chatted for 40 minutes as she helped me shop for store merchandise. I spend over $100.00 in merchandise.
The military reassigned me somewhere else the next day, so I called back to ask for an amendment to a $10.00 day pass could be done. I even offered paperwork to prove what I said. I also mentioned that I did spend over $100.00 in merchandise too.
The manager accuse me of being rude and raising my voice to her employee, the one who was rude to me, who was eager to sell me over $100.00 of merchandise and a $45.00 membership and because of that they would not accommodate my request even though it is only the owner who makes the call from what she said. When it came to that she had no problem taking my money and pretending to be friendly. This was obviously an act.
The manager refused my request and used that as an excuse to not refund me and sighted the contract I signed.
They have military flags everywhere, however they do not adapt to military soldiers who come and go, or provide basic customer service, give attitude and want only their money.
Their shower (only one) was disgusting, pubic hair and underwear fluff everywhere. Their sauna is a walk in closet that burns you with all the meddle edges and screws. No one wipes any of the equipment and it is not enforced by staff. For the two hours I was there I not see anyone wipe down anything.
They were already closed down for a covid outbreak staff said in the past. They have a book to sign in for contact tracing however they do not enforce it.
Chipped walls, moldy smell, drafty, with entitled staff with the poor customer service or interpersonal skills.
This is not a positive space for military, they only support the troops superficially to get money, not willing to tolerating military movements or culture.
I do not recommend this gym to any military, or civilians.
Support the troops is NOT...
Read moreI’ve liked this gym for a long time, the culture with staff and gym goers is always friendly and positive . However, my experience has decreased throughout my couple years going. The bathroom doors in the women’s bathroom don’t close and they haven’t for a long time which is really frustrating. There are 2 changing cubicals that have similar problems. The curtains don’t fully cover the the cubicals up and one of curtains completely came off so there’s only one that’s “functional.” There are holes in the walls in the red turf room all over near the bottom and when I go in to grab a resistance band there’s never the same one there and I go every day. They just disappear and come back. One of the hip abduction machines is down and there’s no sign on it. The cable appears to have snapped. The price they’re charging is just not worth it. $385 for a year is insane. I can only afford the single month for $60 at this time and sometimes I splurge for the $160 for 3 months but even that’s hard to afford. I know the main draw is the childcare but not all of us have children, that benefit is completely lost on me yet I’m still paying for it. They do offer student discounts but I’m no longer a student and it’s very difficult to afford. I’m assuming the price helps with exclusivity so they’re not overwhelmed with people as they’re not as big as the mill or pf but it’s a huge bummer. If they don’t fix the amenities at the very least I think they could offer a cheaper membership for those of us ballin...
