Lakeland Cinema 6 Minocqua WI — Local services in Town of Woodruff

With all the ability to see movies at home, there's nothing like seeing a movie on the big screen. I'm so happy that Lakeland found a way to remain in business through Covid. It's a great Northwoods theater with comfy seats and good audio. We didn't try the popcorn on our visit today, but will be back soon and will get the full experience with popcorn and drinks. 8/23 UPDATE: My husband and I went to see a movie and walked into our theater to find reclining lazyboy type seats! This is the ultimate way to see a movie! The manager said only one theater is done this way now, but more are coming. Love this small...

Best place ever! Staff is very friendly and always happy with smiling faces. They don’t always get number one movies but for the most part they do and that is all we can ask of them. They are open 7 days a week and are never closed which is nice. Most of the staff that’s been there are there for a long time and know just about every local that walks in the door, which say something! Their popcorn is the best in the business! Love my experience there! I also find it amazing how people complain about concession prices being so high without knowing why.

Studios demand a percentage and in the first few weeks of a film opening, it can be anywhere between 75-90%. So the theater gets a pittance while the studio gets the lions share. So how does a theater compensate for this so that they make money because after all, they are a business? They have to raise concession prices.
