Dr Kate Museum — Attraction in Town of Woodruff

Dr. Kate was a wonderful person, who did so much for the area. I am so glad there is a museum to honor her. There is a half-hour video to watch. This video is the original "This is Your Life" TV show, with Dr. Kate. They told her whole story, and had great old pictures.

I was so impressed with the penny drive to help build a hospital in Woodruff. The museum has letters from people who sent money. There is a room set up like Dr. Kate's office, where you can see the old medical equipment used.

In addition to the story of Dr. Kate, the museum has an authentic soda fountain with a working jukebox. The museum also has nice displays of donated items.

The volunteers were very knowledgeable and friendly. There is no charge, only a donation box. The museum is wheel-chair accessible. However, it's very small, and they could use a larger building.
