This shop is run by truly good people who care about both you and your bike. After getting 3 flats that stranded me and a friend out on rural Putnam Valley roads, we serendipitously flagged down Sam as he was driving back from a day on the lake. At the end of a long Sunday, he put our bikes in his truck, called the mechanic to ask him to stay late, and took us back to the shop to fix up my bike and make sure we had a way to get back to Manhattan safely. Not only did Ken fix my flat, he also cleaned my chain and adjusted my gears when he noticed they weren't shifting properly. We were having trouble finding anyone willing to help us get out of a very difficult situation, and the relief we both felt from being able to get home safely was priceless. The whole team at Danny's went above and beyond to make sure we (and our bikes!) were ok. Extremely knowledgeable team with all cycling subdisciplines, and very well stocked shop. Thanks again for...
Read moreI had been researching and looking for a bike like thousands of others during this pandemic. The bike I wanted was no where to be found. After weeks of looking I located one but was given the run around by shops until I spoke with Ken at Dannys cycles. After explaining what was going on he apologized, said he didn't have that bike. An hour later he called he called around and found the bike. He offered to have the bike shipped to his store where he would prep it for me and I could pick it up. Ken went over and above what he had to do. He kept in contact with me letting me know the progress. When I picked up my bike he was so gracious and helped me pick a helmet and bell for me too. He knew exactly what would suit me. In this time of uncertainty, impatience and frustration Ken demonstrated superior customer service and professionalism. I highly recommend Danny Cycles for any cycling needs you may have. I am now a...
Read moreSince I like to support local businesses, I went to Danny's cycles to order two $10 horns instead of ordering them online. They are right down the street from me. We went through the whole process, and then the gentleman asked if I wanted to be put in the system. I said no, because I don't like giving out all of my personal information. He called to the guy in the back to ask him if that was okay. The other gentleman said that he can't order $20 worth of product and then not know if I was going to show up to get them or not. Meanwhile, they were out of kiddie bicycle horns anyway, and that was the reason I was ordering! They never asked for payment up front. So I said, if you want my business, order the horns for me, I live right down the street. They said no! I walked out the door. Talk about bad...
