** editing to add that I now have a Paronychia infection on my toes with very painful, infected blisters. When I called to follow up with the shop, the woman I spoke with said that she reviewed video footage and said I had a great time. I was trying to keep from crying because of how painful the pedicure was and how terrible my manicure looked. Iām now having to treat this infection with antibiotics and topical bacterial/analgesic. This whole experience has made me want to never let anyone near my hands and feet ever again.
we went to this salon because our usual salon (Nail Pros and Spa) didnāt have availability. The nail technician who did my pedicure was very rough and I told her multiple times she was hurting me. She looked at me but continued without saying anything. She continued to be so rough with me that even filing my nails was painful. Then, I requested a regular manicure with no gel or dip. They insisted I do a dip polish. I went ahead because I figured it would last longer. I went in with fingernails longer than my fingertips. The first thing my manicurist did was clip them so far down it looks like I bite my nails. I had specifically asked to keep their current shape. Then the dip was applied and was so thick I could feel it lifting off my nails once it dried. I literally went home and took it off immediately because my now extremely short nails look better bare than with the globs of powder that didnāt match the swatch at all. The swatch was a light purple but I walked out with globs of bubblegum pink. The manicure service also didnāt include any sort of cuticle care, which is why I went for a manicure in the first place. Literally no nail care other than cutting them with nail clippers and the poor dip polish job. I tipped my nail tech because I believe every service worker should make a living wage, but I will never get my nails done here again. Terrible service and poor quality. They also didnāt sterilize the tools...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdit: It has been almost a year since my visit and I am sorry to report that I was just told by my doctor that I have onychomycosis (nail fungus). My nail bed was cut into by accident during my visit. I thought my big toenail was just irritated from the nick when it got all swollen and irritated the week after I had gotten my pedicure, and maybe discolored from having nail polish on it for a while, but as the year has gone on, it got brown and crumbly, and I have completely lost my toenail. Because I didn't know I had nail fungus, I also have spread it to my other toenails, but luckily it's not as bad, but they're still brown and it's embarassing. My right toenail is dyed purple because I had self-treated with gentian violet before I was able to see my doc. I saw that others have also had nail fungus after having a pedicure done here, and that's what gave me the courage to post my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to this salon for over a decade. Hands down the best nail salon in town. It is beautiful inside and so clean. They are taking COVID precautions very seriously. You get your own bag of nail files and tools that you keep and bring back with you to each appointment so there is no chance of cross contamination. The owners Kevin and Jeannie are so welcoming, they are always there overseeing and making sure your experience is great start to finish. The atmosphere is very relaxing and everything is so upscale, pictures do not do it justice. They have a huge selection of the latest and greatest dip and gel options. They are always bringing in the newest technology and trends to stay current with the industry. They can give you any look you desire and their attention to detail really shows in their work. Over three weeks later and my nails still look so good! I wouldnāt go...
