I HIGHLY recommend this company. My first interaction with them was when I first purchased my fix-it-up house with a pool. The pool, like everything else, ended up not working not long after I signed. I was new to owning a pool and brought my broken part to pool stores around Tucson. This was the only pool company that was really helpful. They didn't have the part, but told me how to look it up on Amazon. Since my pool was out of commission for a couple of weeks, it got green, so I hired them to come out and get it up to clean status. Once again, they went above and beyond. They have a starting fee, but they said it didn't need that much maintenance and chemicals to get it up to clean, so they didn't even charge me the full starting price.
I have used them for the last few years for service and I love my pool guy, Ernesto. Always friendly and feels like he looks out for me. I will say the same about Patrick and Walter. EVERY interaction I have had with either of them has been outstanding. The level of customer service I get with this company is unheard of - especially in this day and age. I never feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. I feel like they treat me like a family member. I am also shocked at how they remember me every time I walk in the door (come in maybe once a year).
They even help out with equipment I purchased through Amazon. I had gotten a pool vacuum with Amazon because I had a gift card. That didn't matter to them. A little over a year after getting my vacuum, it had issues with the cord. I brought it into them and they said it should still be under warranty. Even though I got it through Amazon, they said they would take care of it and they did! This is a $600+ part and they got it warranted to me for free and only charged me for labor/parts for replacing wheels. This is just one example of the same type of service I receive over and over with them. The fact that they let me know it should be warranted AND I didn't have to figure out how to get it and deal with the manufacturer AND get a free part...PRICELESS!
I have other similar examples from my 3 years of working with them. I recommended them to my neighbor who also has a pool and she has been much happier with the service they provide compared to the previous company...
Read moreI went in to get a UV light for my pool .. to help with toning down the level chlorine I need. I spoke with the owner who showed me the units they had and we talked for 15 to 20 minutes and verbally told me it would be about $1500 with labor... I know it included roughly the labor because he figured the cost of the unit and potential man hours... We scheduled a day... I put it in real time in my phone while he was scrambling on his end because the person that does appointments was not there... I took off that day from work... no one showed up. Someone showed up a few days later (completely different day of the week), calling me after they left and not before saying they already did the inspection and would send me the quote. I told them that it wasn't even the right day we scheduled, and that they said they told me it be same day which is why I took off from work. He said it would be an easy job.. so I figured ok its going to be the same as what they originally told me, I even said that price and he didn't say different. I received the quote in email a few days later for nearly $3K which was double the price he originally suggested, also with a letter at the bottom of the quote NOW charging and additional $150 for the quote.. if the quote was not accepted I would need to pay for the quote. This was never discussed, and I never signed ANYTHING... they continue to call me to call for this money saying there will be late fees now. So rather than have to deal with this harassment I just decided to pay this $150 and in return I will write this review on google which is the truth. Unprofessional. - In their reply they claim the quote is only 2300 and need to do extra plumbing? What they mean is they wanted to use the existing chlorinator (TAKE IT OUT) and use the plumbing that was already there to get into the filter.. how is that extra plumbing? they are hijacking what I have and disabling it to make the job easier (and then the price is the $2300+) but they also fail to mention this in their reply. If it was extra plumbing cost shouldn't I retain full functionality of my chlorinator and not have to remove it to make the Job easier (as he told me...

I agree with most of the unhappy customers whom have left behind reviews for Tucson Pool and Spa.
Once you give them your money (me about $20k) they will forget you and treat you so horribly. They will set upon you their games. Do I like playing games with my money? No! But, that is how they will treat you once you give them your money. At first, they are your family and best friend. Once you give them your money, they turn selfish and treat you like dirt. You become the bad person!
As far as Josh? He has only been on my property one time. That was the day the ROC Inspector made an inspection in accordance with a complaint I filed against Tucson Pool and Spa. Josh presented himself as an ignorant know it all who knew nothing about the history of my pool. He stood aside the pool in a stance of bullying and ignorance.
Today, Tucson Pool and Spa was to install a sand filter, in agreement with Pentair after Tucson Pool and Spa had incorrectly advised me and installed a cartridge filter not deemed appropriate for my pool. Alas, not surprisingly, Tucson Pool and Spa never showed.
And, Chauntel? She is the new alleged buffer between the company and unhappy customers. She came across friendly at first, but then typical of Tucson Pool and Spa, reneged and did not follow through on any promise to notify of scheduled dates and times.
Beware of this company. Do yourself a favor and find another company.
In reply to the response posted by TPS, that is a typical canned response to any complaint. This company was given multiple chances to do right. They chose to not do so.
Again, go elsewhere to spend your hard earned money. Do not throw it away on...
