I stopped in here quite a while ago I left pissed. It's an awesome stop along the Route 66 tour. With such a unique building structure and loaded with ALL the things Route 66 related, I can see why it's popular.
The counter clerk totally ruined it for me. I don't know if she had something against me personally or if she just had absolutely ZERO customer service skills. She managed to conduct the entire transaction without saying one work to me and I know she wasn't deaf or mute because she had been running her mouth with her coworkers the entire time I was shopping. No hello, did you find everything OK, the total, goodbye, thanks - absolutely nothing. I got in my car totally flabbergasted and debated walking back in and returning everything.

Spent a few minutes talking with the gentleman working the counter and he shared stories of when Route 66 was the place to be. He said the streets were so busy you couldn’t cross on foot easily & there was so much activity both day & night in the town.
He also shared that the restored Route 66 motels along the strip are booked in the summer months.
