Have been a customer of Echo for 8 years and have always loved it!! I haven't consigned with them in forever, just shopped. Always got compliments of the unique things I found there. Over the years the prices have steadily increased that it's almost like paying full store price. I saw a scarf there that I recognized from Target selling for 12.95. Target scarves range from 9.99 to 14.99, so where is the savings for buying second hand?? This past Thursday I brought in 30 pieces to consign, they kept 2! I was very picky about what I brought in. Only name brand and almost new condition. Her laundry list of not taking my items were... We don't take cords (super cute Juicy Cuture corduroy blazer) We don't take spaghetti straps We don't take turtle necks (shirts weren't even turtlenecks they were crew neck sleeveless tops from express bought last year) We don't take Ruffles (seriously? One top was Ann Taylor and other was from Buckle)
I'm hoping my experience was just one worker maybe having a bad day, if not and those rules are for real them my question is, what DO you take Echo?
I'll keep shopping there (even though it takes awhile to find any good deals) but if the prices get any higher I'm afraid I'll have to...
Read moreBeware!! I went to Echo Shop on Friday. They don’t need to worry about me ever going back. I had 3 items to purchase. One was an old Coach computer bag $25. When I went to check out the clerk started unzipping all the pockets and was acting strangely. She said she needed a security tag and had to go find it. After several minutes she came back and told me they were going to check me out in the men’s side. Ok, I went over there. The woman there had the computer bag and an old backpack on the counter. She said they had made a mistake and switched the prices. She then expected me to pay $110 for the $25 bag. I told her I was not paying for their mistake. I left after telling them I was calling the police for the scam they were trying. Tulsa police information officer was not impressed and told me what they did was at least very unethical and that he was going to forward the complaint on to one of the departments. So I’m my opinion if you do business with Echo Shop you should be...
Read moreI took in sunglasses, wallets, purses, shoes MISS ME jeans, hoodies, shorts, shirts, jewlery. You name it, i took it in there and i bet all i got out of all that was $30. Now i know they said i get so much of the profit. I called and asked how much they put on my miss me jeans and they put $80 and all i got was $5 out of those, when i know i paid over $100. I guess i was not aware of how high they mark your things and give you such a little little amount back. Workers are very rude, and grumpy, act like they are better than anyone else. When i asked if i could have the stuff back that didnt sell or they didnt want they refused until my mom stepped in and asked why and said we must WASH the clothes, bring them in on hangers. We asked if they lost, use, or broke the hangers will they replace them and they said no. Very shady people. Very...
