When I usually it’s for a really good review or really bad review, unfortunately this one is for a bad review. For those reading, I am a God fearing man so I will be held accountable if I commit fraud, lie or otherwise misrepresent God.
My wife used to be a sonic regular, and she loves her chili cheese coneys. Usually when she has a bad experience with food she will avoid that dish, or store altogether. She experienced food poisoning and immediately went to the hospital. With her being pregnant there was a huge concern with baby and complications This was definitely one of the horrible experiences, where she would vomit, have accidents you name it. Thankfully baby was safe.
We contacted the store the same night and was instructed to ask for the manager and they’ll put our name in the books for free cherry limeades to compensate us.
Some time has passed and we decided to redeem that but they did NOT honor it. There were no records of it. He repeated that health department would have contacted them if that was the case. ( why would anyone report themselves to get in trouble ? I know next time to make the report our self ) The GM we spoke to thought we were trying to hustle him telling us we got the wrong store. I later found my receipt on my email and called again to tell him that we have the right store.

All id wanted was an ice coffee and breakfast, and its usually good here. but it tasted off and the guy even said hed redo it, but it tasted just as bad (sour, not sweetened as asked, very acidic) and he even told me it was probably brewed wrong or just old. i wish theyd done more to make it right (refund? coupon? free item, anything??) but it seemed like i was a bother to ask (i get it, food service is busy.) but getting home the tots were also solid hard crunchy not even edible. very poor experience and quality of food. this store needs more attention put into it by the District managers probably and likely doesnt get enough staffing so they cant be as attentive or keep product quality up to standard as they should. serving old food and coffee could be health violations eventually, and they should have more staff on hand with proper manager oversight and training to help prevent this. i havent had to review a place this way before and its not the fault of staff (he did his best), its of higher management and corporate disinterest in keeping all stores at best quality, resulting in some that are just "bad" like...

You COULD have told me while I was trying to give you my order over the speaker after waiting five minutes to actually get someone to talk to but no you insisted I pull up even after telling you I hadn’t even given you my order. So I waited another five minutes to pull up to the window to be asked what I ordered. I explained I have not ordered anything and was told that they could only take cash. I told the lady at the window it would have been nice to have that explained at the drive up speaker. This exemplary employee walked away without even a sorry. It’s taking all my effort not curse in this review because of the shoddy customer service I received. Thank you Sonic for reminding me why I don’t like visiting your locations.
