I purchased a sectional about a year ago. It was a custom order so I waited approximately 4 months for it to be made. I did not pay for delivery because I had a guy who could pick it up for me. What I didn't realize was that each piece of the sectional was heavily packaged and it took about an hour or more to "unbox" it. Then I had to pay the City for a bulk waste pick up because it was too much to put in my trash cart.
Once it was unboxed I realized that one of the legs was broken and the upholstery was stretched unevenly in several places making it lumpy and uneven. When I called they told me they would send someone out to fix it. I scheduled with the furniture repair guy. Took a 1/2 day off work to be home when he came to fix it. He came and fixed the leg but not the upholstery. Said they would need approval for that as it would take several hours. After about a week, I hadn't heard anything so I called the store. They told me I needed to send pictures. I sent pictures. They said they would get it scheduled. Never heard from anybody. Called again. Nothing. Called a 3rd time and they told me they were going to order a new sectional. I needed to wait another 4 months.
Finally got a call saying the sectional was in and I could come pick it up. No mention of returning the old one. I assumed that maybe for health/safety reasons they could not take the old couch back so I talked to a charity about coming to pick it up. My bad. I shouldn't have assumed. So my guy went to pick up the couch and they wouldn't let him have it until he brought back the defective couch. Had to pay him $50 to not pick up a couch.
So when I called back to arrange for them to deliver the new furniture and pick up the old one (I cancelled the donation, btw) they told me I would have to pay a delivery fee. REALLY??? After numerous phone calls, taking time off of work to meet the repair guy who couldn't repair the couch, waiting another 6 months for the couch I purchased a year ago, paying my guy to pick up the couch as instructed, I now have to pay again to have them (or someone else) pick up the defective couch they sold me, return it, and pick up the new couch.
They basically told me that it was my own fault because I didn't pay the delivery fee the first time but chose to pick it up myself. If I had paid to have the first couch delivered, they would have delivered and unboxed the replacement couch and picked up the old couch for free. Gee, I guess I should have considered the fact that I needed to plan for a defective couch when making my...
Read moreIf I could leave a zero star review I would. This entire experience has been a NIGHTMARE to say the least. We were told when purchasing our furniture 2-3 weeks for delivery (a big bonus for us as we are wanting the house ready and moved in before my husband leaves for the military). I had to call several times to get updates on my furniture as they did not ever call to give me updates. I was told my order was complete and ready to be delivered. We scheduled the delivery which was at 4 weeks from purchase. The day of delivery they call and tell me the delivery truck is being loaded but a piece is missing and I would not receive it until a MONTH later. Mind you I had to take off work to be present for the furniture. We wait for the furniture to be delivered and the piece they told us that was missing was in fact not the correct piece missing, we also received a piece we didn’t order which was also scratched (the delivery guy pointed it out to us). The delivery truck also took out a huge tree limb by our mailbox that we had to dispose of. Once we get the furniture put together and work I call trying to get through to the manager Glenda to express my frustration with this whole ordeal. She was busy with a customer and I was told I would receive a call back within 30 minutes. Hour and half later I had to call back and was told again I would receive a call back. Another 45 minutes later 10 minutes until they close I get to speak with Glenda. She gets us the missing piece 2 weeks later, I again have to take off work for it. So two days now of my vacation I’ve had to spend on this, with a small child and a husband in the military I need to save as many as I can for emergencies. The delivery guys show up 30 minutes before scheduled time. The paper they brought showed drop off only not setup so I ended up having to set the furniture up myself and nor did they pay attention to the fact they needed to deliver a piece back to the store. Glenda the manager has drugged her feet this entire time about righting the many wrongs we’ve faced with this company, she has waited last minute to call with updates, has told us incorrect information, and has done absolutely the bare minimum to correct the situation. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY NOR MY CLIENTS. Save yourself the trouble and stress and purchase from...
Read moreThis store does not honor their mistakes. I am requesting that the store give me the product that I have purchased. I purchased a table from the clearance section of the store located on Sheridan Rd in Tulsa Ok. The table that we purchased had nothing wrong with the top potion of the table. I have picture from before and the salesman noted that there was no damage to the actual top of the table. The table was in two pieces at the back of the store. One piece was the actual top of the table, and the second piece was the legs (already put together) We were told there were blots missing and there was a crack on one of the legs of the table and there were no chairs. Once I purchased the table, the workers took the table to the back for us to pick up. While in the back they drop the table on a metal piece that was run out from the bay door and split the table across the back of the table. The manager offered to try and fix the table but has now said the table cannot be fixed. I picked this table because I am needing it for Thanksgiving and it is the correct length for the space that I need. I feel the fare thing to do would be to give us what we purchased. I am not asking for anything new; I am asking for the tabletop, in good shape, that I purchased. I requested that they give me a showroom floor tabletop to replace the top that they broke. The top that they broke does not show any sign of being broken on the top portion of the table, so they can use it for the showroom piece. I am just asking that your store be fair and replace the table that I had already purchased and that they broke. As of now the manage at the store on Sheridan has told me no. I am submitting a complaint to the main office. A store like this should stand behind...
