Planet Fitness — Local services in Tulsa

I can not say this is better than a negative star. When you are talked about and mocked or ridiculed behind your back and you can hear it. And then you ask and there is no shame. It is rude and beyond what PF stans for. But it is everytime you walk in the door.

That is a start of my complaint...

I have no idea why anyone uses this gym. After being in gyms in the surrounding states this one is the worst. Way bad.

We had been treated differently in different gyms that includes outside Tulsa and we got upset that everything we grew to love was not what they did here. The same stuff here is half the equipment but tge attitude here reflects the NFL attitude you see but we just want service and how we were treated at every other PF not in Tulsa. But the backlash everytime you come through the door is enough to take this complaint further but the manager and general manager does not care and PF online does not want to tell Tulsa they are wring. Here is a portion to my story....

And PF has to be making its money on those who sign up and not use it. But why would you? If you are serious you aren't going to this gym.

Watch out for hidden fees and dishonest personel.

Saying your sorry "and that's the way we do it" Repeatedly! That is being paid $9 an hour to offer no customer service. None zilch. Just to make sure rules are applied that no one else does.

I have to repeat this. They offer no customer service.

They have no full body enhancement (aka redlight). They do not allow you to sit in the massage chairs for over ten minutes. You can not have access to turn the tvs in the massage chair while you are the only one in the chairs. No one is watching. And every other state... you get the remote!

No other surrounding states PF does the strange odd lack of providing normal stuff and they have all machines. No, they lack machines throughout. Like they just planned to cut things short everywhere and hope you do not notice. (Guys, it is obvious.)

And the gym is never full. Who cares if the machine you do want sits in the 30minute zone not elsewhere or the only one is occupied. But they monitor unused machines!!!

And after starting in a different state that provided a swipe card to the permanent guest, forget them treating that guest as an equal or less than a hassle.

The mindset here is terrible. It is not about service. It is to fill the hours and dust but other than that any assistance outside a very strict can do list there are no provisions of service.

It has a child sitter with guidelines to not do. Forget the competition, forget other gyms, the rules here are strict and do not even think about it. It is (whatever you thought) is forbidden. No judgement but you must COMPLY LIKE A NAZI.

And then they want to gradually pump prices up. I could imagine they have to. It is empty and horrible.

Oh, I have not even started but if... If this was a restaurant EXPECT to fill your own drink and this isnt Wendy's you went to McGills! Then get your food from the kitchen yourself, too! And still tip $20. For no service. Oh, did you get a second side!? We do not do that here!

And now that they made the prices higher (those coming in new) you have to wipe everything down now. This was part of the job those standing their swiping cards were pAid to do previously. What next? Clean the shower and mop the floors?

But the help is not judgement free. The is constant negative comments and...

Alright listen, we know that you are over weight and want to lose some pounds and become healtier, but you are scared because you have some weird notion that people are going to judge you. Maybe you have seen some bull on the internet. Well guess what, in reality no really does. And if you still can't get around it then the best place to go would be Planet Fitness.

I have never been more ignored by people than when I am at Planet Fitness. It's great. Don't get me wrong, the guest service is good here. Machines and the facilities are clean. Toilet is a little low and it feels like I'm falling when I sit down. Lockers rooms are nice. Haven't tried the showers as I live like 5 mins from there so I just shower at home.

The point is that skinny, fat, pudgy, or whatever your body situation is everybody is there for the same goal. Lose some weight and feel good. And you can do all this at the Planet Fitness at 91st and Riverside. So time to get and get active cause salads still don't taste like cheeseburgers so you might as well feel bad for wrecking your work out by eating at the Burger King that...

$1 to start a membership...

I'm thinking okay sure I'll give it a try considering iv never ever tried a gym before. So I fill out everything thinking it will only be $1 to try it out. Get everything filled out and it's $16 something NOT $1 ... That's false advertising.

Then also you have a monthly fee AND a yearly fee... Why do you have to pay both. You would think it would be one fee or the other. if I'm already paying a monthly fee why do I need to pay a yearly fee too. This just make no sense to me.

Reply... Ok lol so the $24 a month don't go towards the upkeep? Y'all ripping people off. ... So are other gyms if they do this too.

Plus I read below in the reviews the only way to cancel is to physically go down to the gym. With is shady as well. So people's "digital signature" is okay to start up ... But not to cancel. That's just a way to make it harder to cancel. (Which you guys do not tell this information in advance I didn't even know about it until I read it in the reviews) I'll pass. This all seems...
