Riverside Park — Attraction in Tunkhannock

Clean and quiet, place to go just sit an watch the water or drive rite down an go fishing, kayak, or take the boat out. The park areas have pavilions an playgrounds. They have a porta potty an all. You might even get to see a train go by. I like the fact I can park my car anywhere and walk short distant to get to my desired spot. When I say short distance I mean like I can park an walk 10 feet an dip my feet in the water. No hills to climbs and weeds to walk through....

First time to this park today and it seemed unkempt. While we were trying to find the walking trail, we came up on a small playground that was overgrowth weeds. The slide had graffiti all over it, and 2 of the 3 swings for big kids were broken. We left because the dogs were overheated, but the park definitely needs some TLC. The benches seemed excessively worn. Maybe the trails are nicer but we couldn't locate them. It seemed that area may have been blocked by some...

Used to be a really nice park. They have really let it go over the years the caboose is covered in graffiti and the windows smashed out. One of the basket ball courts have been taken down and the other is missing the nets. The road is full of potholes so deep they will swallow...
