On Sat, Feb 15, I went to the North MS Med Urgent Care after being on antibiotics for 2 weeks because I was not getting well. I was hoarse & barely able to speak or breathe. I was there from 4:35 pm to 6:54 pm (total). I was given a sinus cocktail shot around 6:30 pm & was told my prescription was being sent to Walgreens at Crosstown in Tupelo. I asked for it to be sent to Memphis but they were closed so the Doctor insisted I get it tonight. I had to wait for 10 minutes before I could leave to see how I reacted to the shot. It took me about 15 minutes to get through traffic and get to Walgreens at 817 Main Street (Store 6771). When I pulled up to the Drive Thru, I believe 2 or 3 cars were already ahead of me. I waited and then pulled to the far right lane and still had to wait because a car was in front of me. I was on the phone with my sister from 6:56 pm (called her 3 min after I left doctor) for 43 minutes which would be 7:39 whiLe I was in the drive thru. A white male pharmacist with glasses asked me to move around & said 30 min for wait then said 20-25 min. I asked him why because I was ill. He said it's a POLICY. I told him I didn't see it outside in writing for customers. Then a black mgr Rodney said my insurance was not going thru & I needed to come inside. I said I've used Walg for 1.5 yr with same insurance & I was sending my card thru shoot. He said I HAD TO come inside. Then the white male asked me again & said It's not in writing. He said "Okay, I understand". The next thing I know I see police cars flying in parking lot. They finally walk up to me & in shock the cop says "We got a call about an irate customer who wouldn't leave" he said "I apologize because we expected something totally different." I called back & talked to Mgr Rodney & asked him why the police called. He said the pharmacist named Clay called but would not release his least name. Rodney would not release his own last name either nor the original white tech. Police told me I was going to jail if I didn't move. I left without ANY of the medications I needed. I was told 1 of 3 medications were not in and I pulled off because a LIE was told in order to get me to move. The first thing I want to have done is for the pharmacist who I NEVER spoke to or had any interaction with who called the police UNDER FALSE PRETENSE AND MADE FALSE ALLEGATIONS is to be FIRED. The police have never been called on me. I am a college graduate with a Master's degree in education who has ALWAYS been a law abiding citizen. Itâs one thing for me to be assertive and say no I wasnât moving because I would have been waiting longer. I want the tape or surveillance pulled of me from the time I pulled up and left. It will show or possibly if audio is available you can hear the conversation that took place. I was never irate. I am sick with an infection and can barely speak. I just refused to move because there is no policy displayed to tell customers the wait. I was asked as a courtesy. Police were called and I was embarrassed & humiliated under false allegations. I have shopped for Walgreens since I have been in the world. My family has shopped there. I was lied to by Rodney to try to lure me in the store then I was lied on by a pharmacist I had NO interaction with in order to get the cops to respond. One cop was actually nice and apologized but the other copy was awful and said âDo you wanna go to jail?â I didnât even raise my voice with him, hopefully body camera will show it if they have it on. I want the name of the pharmacist so I can file a complaint with the State Regulation of Compounding Pharmacies. Next, I will be taking legal action swiftly if there is no response to my satisfaction. **No Manager...(not one) has called me in 2 months and I've filed 2 complaints. I could never get through with the office in Deerfield. As soon as the public is opened, I will be taking...
Read moreWent to pick up my asthma inhaler and blood pressure medication tonight after work. Pulled to the drive thru window and gave my info to the young pharmacist. I gave him my inhaler box because they give the wrong one EVERY time even though they claim they have it in the system. He gives it back and said he has the number from it.He said it would be an hour. No problem, I go get a bite to eat and just sit an hour waiting. I pull back around after an hour and get my meds. I open the bag and again it's the wrong inhaler. I wait FOREVER and no one comes back around. Cars pull up behind me but no customers at the counter so it definitely was NOT busy. A female customer comes to inside counter and the older guy pharmacist goes to wait on her. I'm still at window waiting with my wrong script. He waits on another customer still ignoring me so I'm hitting the call button. First customer comes back and he waits on her again while still ignoring me even while I'm honking to get his attention. I pull around after waiting what seems like another 20 mins and go inside and he REFUSES to wait on me. I asked can you help me and he rudely states I am busy with someone!! He BLATANTLY ignores me taking his time with window customer. Finally he comes over with attitude and I tell him they gave me wrong script. He gets on computer several minutes side eyeing me then calls manager. I am angry at this point. She calls someone who says it is up to the pharmacist if he WANTS to exchange for the correct script or not. He claims he is new and doesn't know how. He is determined not to exchange it. I said I want my money back and will go elsewhere. Again... it's HIS decision if I even get my money back. I get loud and state I WILL NOT pay for meds I can not use due to HIS mistake. They finally gave my money back. I still can't understand the reason to completely ignore me and BLATANTLY snubb a LONG time customer for no reason at all. No lines, no customers until after me. So I had to come home tonight without any blood pressure medication and especially without my asthma inhaler... all because this new guy pharmacist suddenly got the urge to prove a point to a loyal customer that HE decides if I get my medication or not. I will take my business to Walmart or CVS from here! Point made... the pharmacist can give you the wrong medication and refuse to wait on you after that for no reason. It is then THEIR decision if they WANT to correct their mistake and give you YOUR correct medication, and it is then THEIR decision if they want to refund your money for their mistake. Side note, the store manager was very polite and handled the situation knowing I had become extremely angry from this. She did apologize but now knowing these pharmacy policies and the completely uncalled for nasty attitude, I will NEVER return to Walgreens again...
Read moreEVERY month - not just once, twice or even three times - but EVERY MONTH we have issues with getting our prescriptions filled!
For example - Saturday I ordered my insulin, pen needles for the insulin and another diabetic medicine I take on the app. I saw where the prescriptions were accepted and were âin progressâ. I saw that one was âout of stockââŚ.coolâŚ..I can get it Monday no biggie.
But when I went to pick it up not only did I have to wait over 30 minutes in line I get to the window finally only to be told I only had one prescription to pick up. I asked about my other meds I had sent in the refill for and was told âI wasnât aware of any other refillsâ. I told the lady yep - they were sent in with the diabetic pill refill. I pulled up my phone only to see that my refills had been âCANCELLEDâ. This is EVERY DAMN TIME!!
Anyway, was told to âcircle the buildingâ to get back in line - which infuriated me! I had already been in line over 30 minutes when I finally got to the window and now this woman is telling me to âcircle back and get back in lineâ. I asked her why as I have already sat in line wasting time only to be told they didnât have my refills ready. She replied that âwe can get these ready now but they will be ready in 20-30 minutes. Again - I was infuriated! So now itâs taking AT LEAST an hour of MY time waiting for something that should have been filled the FIRST place. Well I wasnât waiting any longer as the line was wrapped around the building. I went homeâŚ.will try to get them picked up today.
EVERY month is like this. Also, I PURPOSEFULLY do not have ANY of my prescriptions on âauto refillâ because they change in some aspect every month. But EVERY MONTH my meds are put back on auto refill. This is probably a lot of Walgreens problems - filling meds that are not asked for to be put on âauto refillsâ. EVERY month I will get a call threatening me that they will put my meds back if I donât pick them up by a certain date/time. And EVERY month I tell them that I didnât ask for them to be filled anyway. So they have to âput them backâ only to be sent in a refill that MAY or MAY NOT be filled when âIâ say to fill it. EVERY month I have to go into the app and uncheck the auto refill buttons back to off because once again someone has a put them BACK on auto refill.
This is NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I am seriously thinking about moving all my prescriptions to CVS! Walgreens - you need to hire dedicated counter and window clerks because this running back and forth between the window and counter is ONLY pissing people off!!
Oh - this is Tupelo, MS...
