Strange Brew Coffeehouse Tupelo — Restaurant in Tupelo

I have loved Strange Brew since it opened and have tried to support their business despite the fact that I’ve had a few not so great experiences. Unfortunately tonight I had another bad experience and I thought I’d share my thoughts. First of all, when we pulled up to the drive through window, a young lady & a young man both looked at us and totally (intentionally) ignored that we were there. They were playing around and talking to each other. Once the young lady finally acknowledged us and came to the window, she was NOT friendly. We asked for a hot chocolate and a frozen hot chocolate. My husband was handed a “hot chocolate” that was cold. The marshmallows didn’t even melt, but we didn’t complain. We said “thank you” before driving off and the lady said “mmhm” and shut the window in our faces. I didn’t like her attitude, especially when we had just spent $13.50 for a Debbie cake and two hot chocolates that we could’ve made at home and at least ours would have been warm. It’s not hard to be kind to people, especially when it’s your job, so I’m not sure what the deal was. Maybe they lack proper restaurant training? While visiting Tupelo we wanted to make sure we hit local places. This one checked off the coffee place box. They have a great selection of hot and cold beverages and baked sweet treats. The first day we went it was perfect and I adored the Maple Harvest latte ... super yummy. My husband like cold so he ordered and iced DUDE and then the second day ordered a Frappe Brown Sugar Bear and enjoyed both. My second day well... they forgot my Sea Turtle latte. So, I inquired and it was accidentally given to a person in the drive thru I was told. I get it accidents happen and they were apologetic and promptly made my drink which was very good. It is a nice atmosphere it could use some music in the background and their soft furniture looked like it needs replacing. I will stop here again when in the area... they make good...

I was looking for a really cool place to take my daughter for coffee and I stumbled upon this gem! I found my happy place!! First, their coffee is beyond amazing! I usually have to add sugar because it's never sweet enough. Not here!! It was made perfectly just the way I love it! I got The Marilyn coffee and a brown sugar cinnamon scone. It was my first ever scone and it was incredible! Second, the employees are just precious! We were met with a warm welcome and were so helpful! The atmosphere was so chill and super comfortable! We hated to leave! If you get a chance, please go see them and let them hook you up with some superior coffee and delicious food! Also, check out the awesome items they sell.
