I have shopped at this particular store since I moved to Tuscaloosa a year ago and have always been more than pleased with the service that I have gotten but today was an exception. Well I understand that everyone is under extraordinary stress there is no excuse for an employee being rude to a customer like this woman was to me. I went to customer service to return some powdered creamer because my son didn’t want the powdered and the older African-American woman was flat out rude and looked at me instead we’re not taking anything back. Ok. Quickly went and got the groceries that I needed and since I had two cases of the same dog food I only put one up on the conveyor belt as I have done many times and this woman has now moved to the register next to mine and in a very loud bought voice said excuse me are you going to put that one up on the belt? I informed her that I had already gotten it taken care of and she stood there and watched me like I was going to walk out without paying for it.If this woman is going to get upset about people coming in and buying groceries even though I would love to not have to go in and buy perishable items then she needs to be laid off until...
Read moreDecent grocery store. Not exceptional, but this is where we do nearly all of our grocery shopping. Produce is decent, prices are fair. The store is clean. The rotisserie chicken is off the charts delicious. I love that when big events are coming up, they fire up a large grill in the front and sell fresh ribs. There are often great sales. I'm a bit disappointed they don't have a butcher anymore, but I suppose if I want a really fine or odd cut of meat I should go to South's Finest Meats anyway. The baguettes are great and at a fabulous price. I only have two complaints: (1) they're starting a new loyalty card service. I just want to get my groceries at a good price and go home. It's enough that every shopping joint and their cousin has a loyalty card service and Target accosts its customers about Target credit cards. (2) The cookies they give to children are often so bad that sometimes I wonder which was worse, the kid crying over the stale, hard, or burnt cookie, or the kid crying because he wants to leave. It seems like they gives the kids cookies they couldn't...
Read moreI was in the 5 Points location looking to get some steaks for the 4th of July. There was an issue with the stores meat cutter and he did not come in. The managers and other staff in the meat dept. were so helpful and kind. There was a very helpful woman that I think was the manager over the meat dept. I wish I had gotten her name. She took my number and called me with an update when the other meat cutter would get there. She actually took my order and said as soon as they got there she would have them prepare my order and then would text me. Well a few hours later , true to her word, she texts me that my order is ready. She kept apologizing and thanking me for my patience and understanding. She is truly an asset to Winn Dixie. I just wanted to let people know that shopping at this Winn Dixie is great, they have great customer service and all the employees are so...
