Jalapeños Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

I honestly tried to give this place a chance and have eaten here a couple of times. But three visits in a row I’ve had bad service and they where not busy by any means especially when most of the staff was playing in there phones. Today’s visit will be the last. Me and my family went for dinner once again they where not bust by any means. We all ordered our drinks and then shortly after our food. I myself ordered a hot and spicy Burrito with a small side of rice. When our food got to the table my rice was nowhere To be found I asked about it and our waiter said he would get it but it never showed up. A person from our table had to leave to ask for a refill of our drinks in which the whole table needed. But only two glasses where filled even tho the rest of the table asked for refills once the waiter got to the table with a glass of water for the person who asked. the whole table asked him for there drinks he walked away and never came back. Then we waited for over an hour for our bill before I had to ask someone else to bring our bill so we could leave the restaurant. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I will not be returning and neither will my family. I would advise anyone else who wants to try this restaurant to just go somewhere else there’s a Chinese restaurant across the street called new China fun. They are fantastic the food tastes better is actually hot not warm and they have 10x the service jalapeños ever will. It’s ridiculous that three times in a row I and my family has had bad service and had to leave the table to ask for things. Oh and the last trip my wife had to ask for someone to bring her food after mine had been at the table for over ten minutes and then her food was cold once it got there. Absolutely...

Stopped by Jalapeños today while we were in the area. It was our favorite Mexican place when we lived in Northport.

Service is always great! Seated quickly. Hot chips and fresh salsa were served immediately. Salsa was a medium consistency with a slight heat after bite. Cheese dip was warm and just the right thickness to hug your chip.

I ordered the Fajitas Gumbo and my wife the Fajitas salad.

Fajitas salad is a steak fajitas mix served over corn chips and lettuce, with cheese dip served over the top. Excellent flavor, good seasoning with plenty of steak and veggies.

Fajitas Gumbo is a bowl of goodness conjured up by angels in Mexican restaurant heaven!! It is a bowl of mixed fajitas with grilled chicken, grilled steak and grilled shrimp. Lots of veggies and covered with cheese dip, and topped with pico. It is served in a large bowl with spoon and warm flour tortillas. This has to be the BEST entree I have ever eaten at ANY Mexican restaurant!!!

Jalapeño also offers a variety of margarita flavors. My wife's favorite is the peach and mine is the frozen strawberry. They also offer a small size for those that want a margarita but might not want to worry about too much alcohol.
