Grocery Outlet — Local services in Tustin

I absolutely love this! The selection is fantastic, and the store itself is well-maintained. I also want to give a shout-out to the managers – they're always friendly and helpful. However, I've noticed that some of the staff could benefit from more training. They seem young and sometimes appear a bit unprofessional. When customers have questions that go beyond simple requests, they often seem unsure of how to respond. Unfortunately, I recently witnessed an employee have an unprofessional outburst towards a customer. The language used was completely inappropriate and should never be tolerated in a grocery store. I believe the store would benefit from hiring staff who are a little more mature and possess better customer service skills. In situations like this, employees could have simply called a manager or remained silent. Negative outbursts are unacceptable. I hope this feedback is constructive. I like this Grocery Outlet, I come here frequently due to their good prices and convenient location. The only reason I took away a star is becuase of the cashier Braiden (has thick red unkept hair). He is so rude when he is checking out customers. He doesn't greet you or attempt any niceties, he just gruffly tells you your total and that's it. He never offers to help bag my groceries, instead he just watches as i bag my own items. He also never says anything when i am done, no "have a good day" or "thanks for coming in." Nothing. I have been checked out by him many times and he always has the same attitude. My mother in law has complained about him and the same things, even to the store manager.

I was hesitant at first but we now LOVE Grocery Outlet. They have a pretty good selection of produce and frozen staples, but this isn’t a regular grocery store. This is kinda the island of unwanted groceries IN A GOOD WAY. These products are unique, delicious, and ridiculously cheap. Here, you will find such hidden gems as gluten free chicken pot pie, nut crackers, lemon Oreos. Yes, you can usually find plenty of staple grocery items for rock bottom prices. But honestly, the exploration of things-I-didn’t-know-I-needed is absolutely fabulous. Eg beautiful tray of grilled and marinated vegetables for under $10. The single best wine I’ve ever tasted in my life (an unusual Tropical white wine never seen before) for $7. Yumm!! This place...
