Poindexter’s Novelty & Costume Store — Local services in Twin Falls

I had a horrible experience with the owner of Poindexter's. After kindly offering the suggestion to post their no return or exchange policy in a more seen area, I was very poorly treated. I will never go to Poindexter's again because of this. I was not allowed to try on any clothes and had to make the most accurate size and fit guess to a skirt that was on a hanger. When I went home and tried it on, it didn't fit. I went to return the item and was unaware of their store policy as the cashier never informed me and their posted sign on the register was hidden from the cluttered decor. The owner, herself, rudely pointed out that the policy is noted on the receipt (of the already purchased item) and the door (on the way out of the store) as well. My wife and I were downtown on Saturday and explored some of the shops. We discovered this place on a whim and both of us felt like we could’ve spent a whole day browsing around. They truly have something for everyone. I like looking at goth attire and my wife looking at belly dance stuff.

I didn’t get anything but my wife got some things for belly dance costumes. Sounded like she got a good deal on some jewelry. Great value there.

Service was fantastic. Both staff we talked to were friendly and courteous, making time to talk to everyone in the store.

A fine little gem in the city of Twin Falls. This place is reminiscent of similar costume shops that used to be open in Boise, that unfortunately no longer exist. The atmosphere is that of a locally owned shop with a non corporate feel. I love the mask selection and any time I have been in there they have been friendly and wanted to assist. It is becoming a rarity to see shops like this and I would encourage to spend some time and money to support your local shops such as this. "Winter is coming" and your population is growing, keep...
