I will start off my review that I’ve had a lot of good experiences at Seagren’s which is why this is a 3 star review instead of a 1 star. My issue is that I recently bought a Daisy Powerline 880 air rifle from Seagren’s. I took the rifle straight home from the store, put BB’s in the rifle and realized that the rifle wouldn’t hold air and unusable upon purchase. I called Daisy customer service and they said the rifle would need to be returned or repaired. The Daisy Rep said some stores allow returns and if there were no “all sales are final” signs then it was likely returnable. I immediately called Seagren’s and told them about the issue and they said they would check into it and call me back. I received a call back within a few minutes and they told me that all air rifle sales were final and that I would have to contact the manufacturer for repairs. I asked them how I was supposed to know that the sale was final and they said it was clearly stated on the box. They said their hands are tied since its a manufacturers policy. I looked at the box and found the disclaimer in micro print. Seagren’s apparently finds it acceptable that “all sales are final” disclosures are written in micro print on the box. I was going to buy the air rifle off of Amazon but since I wanted to use it that day I decided to get it from our hometown store. Hindsight 20/20 that was a mustake. Amazon clearly lists that the Daisy Powerline 880 is refundable/returnable/replacement for 30 days on their website and in the past they usually send you the new product immediately if you choose replacement. That would have been about 4-5 days of inconvenience. Sending the air rifle back to Daisy required me to drop it off at Fedex. I dropped it off at the Mail Room in Duluth on Tuesday afternoon and get a call later that day just as soon as the bad weather started saying they can’t ship the air rifle because it’s a firearm and they need a special license to handle firearms. I tried to explain that air rifles weren’t classified as firearms by the ATF but it didn’t matter. They stated I would need to take it to the FedEx Ship Center at the Duluth airport and fill out the firearm paperwork. I picked the air rifle two days later and took it to the FedEx ship center. The gentleman at the counter asked if I’d like a receipt and shipped the air rifle. No paperwork, no special handling.
My points are: 1. According to the Daisy Rep and the fact that Amazon accepts returns of this item, there is some way that Seagren’s can return air rifles to the manufacturer instead of putting that on a customer. If they want people to shop in there store rather than online then they have to find ways to ensure that customers aren’t stuck dealing with products that are dead on arrival. If Daisy truly won’t accept store returns then carry a different brand that does. Most manufactures that have “All sales are final” policies do this because they have quality control problems. If compelled to carry these products, then make signs to inform customers and tell them at checkout. I would not have bought the air rifle from Seagren’s had I know the sale was final but I also wouldn’t have been compelled to leave this negative review either. A businesses image is worth a lot more than a single sale 3. I now have to wait 3-4 weeks to use an air rifle that I wanted to use the same day I bought it. I hope it’s obvious how unfair that is to a customer. I could go buy another air rifle somewhere else but then I’d end up with two air rifles eventually, when I only need/want one. 4. The headache I’ve had to go through with sending it back to the manufacturer is absurd. I understand this is not Seagren’s fault but they need to understand the trouble each person may have to go through if more air rifles are sold inoperable. I gave the store a shot to fix this but their bottom line must be more important than my effort and time. If this happens again, I’ll take my...

Read moreI live 15 miles away. First time visiting this store. I came in with a list of things to buy. I asked the cashier if I could plug in my phone while I shopped as it was low on battery. Sher first told me she did not have a place available to charge. When I asked if I could plug in if I found a spot, she very coldly advised me "that was not allowed". I wrote this review, then waited to send after trying to reach management/ownership. Spoke to the DT manager understanding guy. He told me to try to reach Scott or Jennifer, even transferred me. The Assistant Manager Sarah answered, advised me they were not available. I asked her if she would like to hear this review before I sent it. She heard it, then advised me they cannot allow people to plugin their devices.
