Updating from a recent attempted visit, online hours showed closing time as 9 pm, we came shortly after 8 to find it closed. Guess false advertising is being embraced. I waited until the next day and got the same chocolate malt I always get but it didn't taste like the malts I have gotten from here dozens of times before. There was almost no chocolate flavor at all, just malt. This may very well have been my last visit. $9 plus tax for a tiny malt with no flavor is theft. The lettering that said "20oz" has been removed from the menu. It used to be listed to the left of the price of the malts, above the list of flavors. The size is noticeably smaller, it is now 16oz but the price is a dollar more, and the 20oz malt is still pictured. Sad about the inflation and false advertising. Glad they've brought back the wafer cookie garnish

I recently visited 5th Street Malt Shoppe with my husband, and we were both delighted with our choices. I opted for the chocolate malt, which was rich and satisfying, hitting all the right notes for a classic malt lover. My husband chose the raspberry fudge malt, and he was equally impressed. He mentioned that it was better than most raspberry chocolate concoctions he's tried before, with a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. The flavors were well-blended, and the texture was smooth and creamy. The service was friendly, and the ambiance of the shop added to our enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be returning to try more of their delicious offerings.

Flew out here from San Jose with some cash my dad gave me from some winnings after a trip to Reno. They were closed cuz I came after hours and I literally cried big sad tears because I had an early flight the next morning. But an employee drove back (he forgot his gameboy color and had a whole weekend plan to beat Pokémon Yellow). Anyway I explained my situation and that I bought a plane ticket pretty much just for this experience and he was like “dude 100% I’m honored to make you whatever the fudge you want” and I was like actually the fudge mint malt is my absolute go to. He made it for me free of charge and we hung out and played on his gameboy for 2 hours until his mom called and wondered where he was. It was...

This place has phenomenal milkshakes. Milkshakes good enough that we would plan a trip up from the cities around when they are open, and we go multiple times per trip. And I'm not a milkshake person.

My one critique is that I have never found contact information for them And the hours listed online don't always seem to be accurate. We are planning a trip in September and are hoping to figure out whether they are open or not, but I'm unable to find a phone number or definite hours. If the owner sees this, it would be super helpful if you could post a contact number or information about hours/ when you close for the season. We want to come enjoy...
