Bay View Villas — Local services in Tybee Island

We rented Bay Villa 206, and were surprised by the condition of this condo. Pros: faces the ocean, nice balcony, covered parking, lots of cutlery. Cons: #1 the front queen room is HOT. Not sure if there is a problem mechanically or what, but it was sooo uncomfortable; fridge and the half bath looked newer, everything else in condo is DATED; carpet in bed rooms nasty and stained; pans had wobbly handles like ready to break; furniture all needs replaced; prepare to take absolutely everything you need, i.e., good toilet paper, good paper towels, salt and pepper, laundry detergent, etc etc etc. Tips for the owner: add DVD player in livingroom, put a lounger on your balcony, change the rusted shower curtain rod in 2nd bath, change the three lightbulbs in 2nd bath to all be the same vs all 3 different, change out the washer and dryer, put more towels in bathrooms, remove some of the "clutter". We've had good luck in other condos in this complex. Will look at VRBOs next visit. Seem to be better taken care of, and more pride...

View was great but not very well maintained. We stayed in 205 B. Some light bulbs were not working. Chairs on balcony was rusted. Hammick was broken. Elevator hardly ever worked and was last inspected in 2020. Called management day after we checked in to have light bulb replaced and maintenance showed up and said he would go get his tools and never came back. Tried Called office numerous times and they would not call back. My father in law uses a walker and when we booked was told we could use elevator and after the storm when electric came back on the elevator wouldn't work and father in law had ro spend three days in the condo cause he couldn't get down stairs. Several calls ro office and all we were told is nothing can be done. So we end up having to call fire department to get my father in law down stairs. We never got an apology from the management. All they said was thanks for staying. Loved the island but will never stay at Bay View Villa again and would not recommend...

We've stayed in these condos three of our four trips to Tybee Island. And while the condo itself was great the elevator and front gates were out of order during our October 2025 stay. There was no sign to inform you of either issue. The elevator being out was especially inconvenient as I brought along my two elderly parents. The condo was cozy, just the right size for the five of us and had everything we needed. The short walk down the boardwalk to the beach was great for my parents. The views from the condo balcony were breathtaking. We'll be back - hopefully the elevator...
